Hello everyone! I'm obsessed with toners and love them so much 😍 I just opened EH Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner (Jumbo Size). I tried as much to resist not opening another toner, because I have like 7 toners opened 🙈 don't worry, some are just about to finish and I'm keeping my eye on the PAO.

This toner is a K-Beauty cult product, but I was never interested in EH skincare. Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ However, I've been trying products from the Soon Jung line, and I'm enjoying them a lot! 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗦 

✨ Lightweight double-fermented artemisia extract essence that efficiently can deliver moisturizing and soothing properties to the skin. Moisturizing, hydrating, brightening, soothing and balancing.

🍃 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗜𝗘: Artemisia Annua Extract (or Chinese Wormwood)

💡The essence is the result of a double-fermented process and there&#39;s the possibility of ferment sensitivity. This may be particularly worrisome if you have Malassezia Folliculitis (aka Fungal Acne) or Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. I&#39;m not exactly sure if my Seborrhoeic Dermatitis reacted to the product, but the thought is always in the back of my mind.

𝗠𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 

☁️ The essence smells like cinnamon 🙈 Despite being runny, lightweight and watery, the product doesn&#39;t feel like it sinks completely into the skin 🤔 

🌿 I was so excited to try the essence and that excitement didn&#39;t hold up long 🙈 So the essence is indeed lightweight and watery, and everything is good in the hood. I just can&#39;t seem to wrap my head around that weird finish like an oily to silicony film. Maybe it&#39;s just me, but I don&#39;t think it goes well with the rest of my skincare products. 

🌿 Remember, this is a first time treatment essence and you&#39;re supposed to apply the product after you&#39;re done with the cleansing process. I usually apply one layer and tap the product to promote a faster absorption. I also like to apply cotton pads in areas where my skin is in need of soothing and calming. 

🌿 My skin wasn&#39;t so great a few months back. I did reach out for the essence and dampen the product to cotton pads. From my experience, the essence can (1) help to cool down the skin (2) slightly diminish redness and inflammation (3) promote relief to itchiness. Idk about the claimed brightening effect 🤷🏻‍♀️ The product purely works to target irritation and provide relief IMO.

➖ Balls up and pills off.
➖ Not a good makeup base.
➖ It doesn't control sebum production. Probably not the best option for summer if you have oily skin.

𝗠𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

🔸𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞: the sunscreen feels lightweight and comfortable. It's like applying moisturizer. Not greasy. No white cast. It's nourishing enough to skip my moisturizer.

🔸𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞: if I'm being picky here, the name of the products can be misleading; oil control and dry touch, to be precise. The sunscreen renders ineffective to control sebum production and doesn't have a dry touch. Nonetheless, it's not greasy and doesn't increase sebum throughout the day. My oils naturally peeked through and retouching with powder was necessary.

Pilling and balling. It's not a good makeup base because my BB Cream didn't glide smoothly and the application looked patchy. Unfortunately, pilling happened even when I didn't wear makeup, which wasn't a good look when I took off the mask.

𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗹𝗹 …

It's decent and affordable. The only downside for me is definitely the pilling. Probably not the best option for summer hot and humid weather. Nevertheless, my skin seemed to appreciate the sunscreen with the change of season.

I liked the eyelash serum and I don't have anything bad to say about the product.

🔑 𝗞𝗘𝗬 𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦: 2 Peptides (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8), 17 Amino Acids, Sodium Hyaluronate and Panthenol.

🍃 𝑺𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕: there's a faint chemical scent, though I'm inclined to believe it's from the brush applicator and not from the product itself.
💧𝑻𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆: watery and lightweight. Not oily. Fast absorption.

𝗠𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

💭 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡: the screw brush glides smoothly between my eyelashes, and the ball-tip brush (Elastomer) is perfect to apply the serum to the roots and short eyelashes.

💡𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦: 1) Brushing the upper eyelashes from outside to inside, making sure they're coated with enough product. 2) Tapping the elastomer onto roots and lower eyelashes for precise application. 3) Don't apply too much product all at once. It's preferable to go gently and repeat previous steps if necessary.

Let's go over the performance and results ⤵️

1) Comfortable formulation. The serum absorbed and dried down faster compared to other products that I tried before. 2) New eyelash primer? You bet! It worked wonderfully with mascara. Smooth application. Definitely apply the serum at the beginning of your skincare routine because it's important to let the product fully absorb and dry before going with mascara. 3) It's also suitable for thin eyebrows and hair roots. 4) Ongoing seasonal allergies and eye rubbing persisted causing the loss of eyelashes. Nonetheless, they look longer and thicker and do feel healthier. 5) Suitable for sensitive eyes. I didn't experience any irritation or discomfort.

𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗹𝗹 …

I enjoyed using the product. I'm a big fan of the dual brush and love how fast the product dried down 🙏🏻 Thank you @bentoncosmetic for providing this product in exchange for my honest review.

➖  I don&#39;t recommend this cream for sensitive and oily skin types. I also don&#39;t recommend the product for dry skin because I don&#39;t think it&#39;s enough. So, probably only combination skin types might enjoy this one. 
➖ It made my face and neck break out 
➖ Triggered my Seborrhoeic Dermatitis 
➖ Contains essential oils 😒

❗ Unfortunately, the product has ingredients that may trigger Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. Take it with a grain of salt because you can have a different experience. Possible culprits:

𝗠𝗬 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘

☁️ I can definitely smell the fresh citrus scent of the essential oils. It&#39;s not overwhelming, though. The lightweight gel to cream texture spreads easily and has a smooth application. At first glance, the cream doesn&#39;t feel tacky and absorbs quickly, but after some time it&#39;s overpowering for my oily skin.

🔸The cream is definitely not for my skin type. It didn&#39;t work as a daytime moisturizer, because it&#39;s too much for my skin to handle. Perhaps leaving the cream for the nighttime might be a better option, or so I thought. Ugh 🤦🏻‍♀️ that didn&#39;t work out for different reasons (1) the cream broke me out and made my Seborrhoeic Dermatitis itchy (2) it wasn&#39;t enough to overcome the tretinoin dryness.

🔸I tried to repurpose the cream for other parts of my body. What a bumpy ride lol Let&#39;s try to sum up my failed attempts (1) not a good option for my neck because the product gave me a few pimples and I rarely have acne in my neck (2) not moisturizing enough for my feet. My last and only choice was to keep this one as my hand moisturizer. Finally worked!!! 

🔸I obviously can&#39;t say much about the brightening effects, because the cream was a fail as my face moisturizer. I&#39;m not planning to repurchase.

➖ The toner is not enough to provide a visible brightening effect.
➖ It's probably not deeply hydrating for dry skin types.

🔸𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲. 1) It's extremely watery and runny. No need to wait in between layers – 2 to 3 layers are enough for my skin. 2) Suitable for the 7-Skin Method. 3) Perfect for oily and sensitive skin.

💡 If my skin needs a little TLC, cotton pads soaked with toner present themselves as a good option to promote a gentle exfoliation. However, this is basically a hydrating and soothing toner. Therefore, I wouldn't rely on the exfoliating properties because it's far too gentle.

🔸𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. 1) It's refreshing upon application. 2) Definitely recommend mask packing to benefit from the cooling sensation and soothing care. My skin instantly cooled down. Redness decreased.

𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗹𝗹 …

It's a good hydrating and soothing toner suitable for oily and sensitive skin. It's not an exfoliating product for me because my skin is used to stronger products. I can't say that I noticed a brighter complexion. The ampoule from the same line is doing a better job in that department. Nonetheless, the toner might help to boost the brightening effects of the ampoule.
