Proper product order..🤔

So it’s pretty obvious that a basic double cleansing routine starts with an oil-based cleanser, followed by some sort of water-based cleanser… then after that, I find everyone has different opinions on the order of the remaining products (depending on types of products you have included in your routine.) A few examples of “correct product order” that I have found recently while checking out skincare blogs, articles, etc: 🔻toner - serum - treatments - moisturizer - SPF - eye creams last 🔸toner - eye creams - serum - SPF - treatments - moisturizer last 🔹toner - serum - SPF - eye cream - treatments - moisturizer last ▪️toner - treatments - serum - eye creams - moisturizer - SPF last ➡️ ALSO.. is using multiple serums beneficial? if so, do you mix them & apply together… apply 1 wait for it to dry then apply another.. 🌀 AND if YES to multiple serums, what ingredients work well together, and which ones are a NO NO to mix or layer⁉️⁉️⁉️ I know that’s a lot to take in, and after reading so many different routine orders & warnings & opinions, I am frankly lost! 💟 any answers or opinions appreciated!!!! thanks y’all💟

They certainly make it so confusing, don’t they?! The golder rule is to apply products thinnest to thickest, ending with sunscreen last so you don’t rub it off. Eye creams can be applied before or after serums, but I suggest before so the delicate eye skin is protected from harsh serums. So the order I suggest is: toner, eye cream, serums, treatments, moisturizer, SPF. Multiple serums can totally be beneficial! You can just layer them following the thinnest to thickest guideline. There are some great guides on here of what ingredients not to mix in the same routine. Generally the suggestion is vitamin C in the morning, then exfoliants or retinol in the evening (though never both on the same night!). Hyaluronic acid and vitamin E play nice with everything, and niacinamide works fine with everything but vitamin C. Even with all that, though, some combos don’t work for everyone, so if you’re experiencing sensitivity try spacing out the products to different days. Don’t forget to only exfoliate 1-2 times a week! Hope this helps! 💕

Hi, The easiest way I remember learning, was through consistency, use products that go thinnest to thickest and always us SPF. There some charts on here that tell you what can be used together and what can not.💙

Thank you for the helpful info! A lot of us here struggle with applying or products in the right order but I think a lot has their kinda own order how to do it
