if you want to maybe you could try. but since you already use retinol and at the same time want to try niacinamide, maybe you can alternate it ie using retinol on night and niacinamide in the morning.

no I honestly do not find it necessary. Niacinamide has been tested for its benefits between two and 3% most products in the stores you will see are way more than the tested percentage being over like 10%. If you do get one I would look for a lower than 10% niacinamide. Honestly, though I don’t feel it makes or breaks a routine, but always helpful, especially in sebum regulation.

A lot of products already have niacinamide in them, so I don’t think you need to. my face wash and moisturizer already have them; try checking your moisturizer to see if it has it. A lot of serums also add it, even if HA or some other ingredient is the main one.

i feel like niacinamide is most effective at 5% concentration and it works really well together with retinol or hyaluronic acid, it strengthens the skin barrier and controls sebum production and tightens your pores while fading discoloration! but you might not need it in a separate serum if your moisturizer or serum already contains niacinamide

In cosmetics, no products or ingredients or even active ingredients are necessary. It all depends on your desires, the needs of your skin, your desire to have a short or long routine! Nothing is obligatory and it must above all remain 1 pleasure. After Niacinamide is 1 active Swiss army knife that we return to in many products now and the accumulation can create irritation and sensitization
