So I'm pretty sure I have dry and dehydrated acne prone skin. At the moment I'm just using the Cerave Moisturising Lotion, but I want to add a hydrator into my routine alongside that. I've looked into it but I'm still not sure what kind of product to use and when to use it in my skincare routine? Like should I use a hydrating toner, or should I just use a hyaluronic acid serum before moisturiser, or I've also seen The Ordinary Amino acids + B5 but I don't know what part of my skincare routine I'd use it in 😭  There are so many types of products out there and I'm completely lost even after doing research, help! (I also intend to use the Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment at night if that makes a difference to what other products I should use)

Best way to hydrate?

After putting it on my skin, my skin will feel dry again after a little while and I don&#39;t think it&#39;s moisturising enough as a nighttime moisturiser either, I&#39;d definitely recommend using another product in conjunction with this to add a bit more hydration and moisture, especially for people with dry skin. As I said this might work better for people with oily skin but I definitely wouldn&#39;t knock it til you try it because I think it&#39;s a great product.

This moisturiser is great for a morning moisturiser as it&#39;s lightweight but also leaves your skin feeling moisturised, and a feature I love about it is that it contains hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. I&#39;d definitely recommend it more for oily skin and acne prone peeps

Maybe not a winter nighttime moisturiser for people with dry skin? But it works fine for me as I also use La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume on my dry areas

I accidentally bought this instead of the premium lotion but I was looking for a new moisturiser anyway and wow did this not disappoint! Applied to damp skin, it leaves your skin feeling super soft and supple. It feels very lightweight on my dry skin but still feels like I have enough hydration. I&#39;m not sure how it would feel on oily skin but I definitely recommend for people with dry skin looking for something a little more lightweight but still just as powerful!

It&#39;s not as effective on my acne prone skin as other salicylic acid products so I&#39;d definitely recommend something stronger if your skin can handle it, but it&#39;s definitely good for people with more sensitive skin or people who aren&#39;t acne prone and want to add a gentle chemical exfoliator to their routine

I really like this! I used to use a salicylic face wash but I found it to be too drying and irritating on my skin, so I looked into gentler options and decided to try this. It feels so nice on my skin and I love the addition of hydrating and calming ingredients. I love how gentle it is but it still works fairly well on my acne prone skin

• I&#39;d recommend not following the instructions on how to use it. They say to use on wet skin but when you do, it&#39;s 10x harder to get it off. Also I would definitely use in a double cleanse and use another gentle cleanser afterwards to get the remaining balm off.
• Bad smell but I can deal with it!
•The only downside to it being in a tube is that it can be difficult to squeeze it out, especially when it&#39;s new. Also be sure to shake because the oil can sometimes seperate and it may come out very oily.

I love using this for my double cleanse as it does a great job at breaking down the makeup and cleansing my skin gently thanks to the oat kernel oil and colloidal oatmeal which help moisturise and soothe. Also unpopular opinion (?) but I love the squeezy tube instead of a tub which most cleansing balms come in. I just hate the idea of messing around with a spatula to not contaminate the balm in the tub, with the tube you just squeeze and go it&#39;s great!

Although it does a good job of moisturising, it doesn't feel moisturising enough for my dry skin in these winter months, it would definitely be ideal for the summer though! I also didn't like how strong the smell was and I think I might be sensitive to tea tree as it feels a little irritating when first applied 😬

I liked that this felt moisturising enough for my dry skin and the texture feels thick enough without feeling too heavy (I don't mind a heavy cream but I feel this would be great for people with oily skin!)
