O'skincare hunters,  may I humbly ask, what's the ingredients to look for that is a friend to our skin?  Something* that can mend broken barriers.

Building barrier

Hi, has anyone here experienced worsen dullness right after applying skincare? Usually it would be the other way around but recently my sister told me something shocking and even if i try to deny it, its true. She said my skin looked burnt, oily ,lifeless and became more dull every time after I applied my skincare.

 But when I skipped skincare for a day or two, my skin was not looking burnt. Its not glowy either, it was back to normal. What's wrong with my skincare? They are not expired yet..my skin isnt irritated but becomes more dull. Can somebody possibly explain if you have experi3nced this before too and how to fix it?

Skincare isnt working

Well I'm sure most of us love the soothing smell of flowers or fruits or even herbs. And 100% would agree they like smelling nice. [Long post warning]

But fragrance itself is quite harmful for babies and there's a study that investigates the effect of prolong exposure to fragrances.

I just can't fathom how skincare, even those needed to apply to sensitive places ,and even places further from our smell range needs to be fragranted ( if the word exist).

Like why do you need eye cream or even lip products to have fragrance? It just adds a nasty note to the taste(lipbalm) and 99% of the time our nose or anybody else's noses would not be able to detect the smell(eye cream or mositurizer)

Besides a possibility to be an irritant to sensitive skin, it is unacceptable for skincare to include these irritants unless they pose  great benefits in them. Soothing is a feeling..but having a fragrant skin product just isn't it.

Exclusion for products with natural smell due to using natural ingredients like mugwort or orange..but honestly cherry or strawberry doesn't smell that strong..peaches also don't smell that strong.

Yes I get that sometimes it is added to even out some foul smelling smell from other ingredients..but is it worth it for the wellbeing of our skin and lungs and liver?

What's your take on fragrances? If you enjoy a fragrance free product, tag them too.

what kind of oils or serum are you using for your oiling routine/haircare routine? Would you swear by them?

Hair care

Here's the thing : not many people will opt for mineral sunscreen because of the whitecast they leave on the skin.

But mineral sunscreen is the safest choice when you have sensitive skin. They feel comfortable while providing enough shield.

 That being said after knowing the mechanicals of how different types of sunscreen works..at the end of the day the idea of chemical filters absorbing heat as a shield against the UV rays makes sense on why,even with sunscreen on,no actives on my skin, it still gets inflamed in some occasions. My country is sunny almost all year round, but this year feels typically sunnier..

So please share some good mineral sunscreen that you have tried which is better or on par with chemical ones. (I have my own list, but I think there must be better ones out there)

Mineral/hybrid sunscreen so good, it beats chemical ones

Definitely nothing. It really thoughtful to come up with same products to cater to different skin types. 

What was bad was that people is still on the fence about trying this sungel themselves. What more signs do you need ,to convince you that this is IT!!!

>As its a gel formula, its expected to not leave a white cast and be waterproof too. 
>Doesn't cause piling of products (depends on your moisturizer too, I've tried this with gel cream and gel moisturizer and it works fine.)

Definitely worth the hype ♥♥♥
Little goes along the way so be careful not to lather extra product or you'll end up looking like you've sweated a lot. 
I definitely enjoyed the cream formula better than this one due to how moisturized it made my skin felt. 
Recomending this to those with sensitive skin or having oily skin or just trying out chemical filters or those who have fear of physical filters.  Definitely a beginner -friendly product that you'll regret if you haven't tried it out in your life. (ﾉ*>∀<)ﾉ♡

Never have I ever imagined getting my hands on a highly priced product of Mixsoon's so it was quite a fresh experience. 
Since they didnt splurge on the box or in the bottle, so theres only one thing left : the production and quality of ingredients.
Smells so soothing like a long brewed tea.
Slightly thicker than water ,easily absorbed by skin and doesnt leave any residue after application.
Effectively calms down skin, great for compromised akin barrier.


Thoughts
I am so so so blessed last year,to receive this product to review. 
And it works amazingly quick with results that can be seen and felt almost immediately.Though it doesnt gave the `cooling' effect...you can feel redness tones down in few minutes applying this essence.

I am in love. Its strong in cleansing but its not that strong that strips your oils away. once emulsified and cleaned, the skin feel super clean but not in a drying way. hahahaha. its so complicated to put it in words but it works! and doing a hell of good job at it. it makes you wonder whether a second cleanser is still necessary. 

Nothing. But someone will probably complain that it leaves your lips lookin greasy..it's better look moisturized than cracked and dried and shrivelled like their standards.haha

What I love : Great ingredients, it actually starts with an oil.
Basically includes 10 different types of oil
Of course ,to come up with solidified lip balm, beeswax and crystalline wax is needed

But
It also have royal jelly,honey and shea butter which is amazing inclusion to moisturize the lips

Texture
It actually glides on like normal balm.I live in a humid country, but this balm survives the heat and stays as a solid.
FRAGRANCE. upon close sniffing, it has a tinge of honey-ish scent. yes, no artificial fragrance❤️ 
FLAVORS. no funky flavors. Doesn't need it. ❤️
COLORS. No colors. Just give way for your natural lip color to shine through. ❤️ 

Application
Anytime usually before you sleep, before facing dry air, after exfoliating the lips.I love to swipe it in a few layers.

It lasts like forever.this is also my second purchase. Wearing it for prolong use just repairs your lips and eventually your lips will be looking healthier even without it. Purchased it 2 times already in a span of hald a decade. That's just how long it sticks with me.

Nothing more than another take on exfoaliating toners/serum essence.

Packaging- 120ml frosted plastic bottle with typical toner mouth.
The box was made using recyclable paper, printed using soy ink, indicated that its 100% no animal origin.

Truthfully, I always hope brands would put toners in spray bottles. It really eases application by 500%.

Impression
Patch test was successful, but I would not say it was a gentle experience. My skin immediately freaked out or to say the least. I had to lather on my rescue lotion afterwards.
It doesnt have any smell of any sort and the texture is soo watery, in fact, it felt like I.was.rubbing water on my face.
✦tried this a second time the next day, and the reaction isnt as bad as the first application.Guess my skin was just shocked by the immense quality😂


Thoughts
For me, I am no beginner to acid exfoliation,but I definitely would not recommend using this daily, especially during the day, especially when you have sensitive skin like I do.
I have heard so much positive reviews from this brand, but it wasnt a good.match for my ever-spoilt skin.Though I had high hopes initially.Gonna continue testing this for any reduction in skin texture/whitehead appearance.
