Top 10 Products for Skin Barrier Repair

Kinda small for its price, but since it really fixes my skin, I think it's okay....

I can assure you that this Great Barrier Relief has not only fixed and restored my skin, but most importantly, it has returned me my confidence. 😭😭😭

Strong herbal scent from Tamanu Oil might be too much for those with sensitive noses.

The texture is creamy yet light and absorbs right away into your skin. My skin is less inflamed and the rosacea is under control. But just like most products on the market, you have to be patient and consistent with it. This serum will not soothe your skin immediately but it will deliver results in the long run, most importantly, it will help restore your skin barrier. Definitely recommend!

The scent is a little bit strong at first, but I got used to it and associate it as a healing scent haha

Has been my holy grail for more than a year ! As a skincare enthusiast it means a lot since I tried out a lot of products and by means, nothing has ever compete with this one serum for over a year. Love the texture, felt more like a lotion than a serum in general. Like to use it when my skin is acting up and never fails to calm them down!

Magical Creamy Green Serum: Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief Serum

Key ingredient:
Tamanu Oil: Soothes irritation and calms redness without greasiness.
Niacinamide: Helps clear spots, fades discoloration, and brightens skin.
Ceramides: Essential to skin health—helps replenish fatty building blocks of the skin barrier.

My experience:

Medium thick creamy texture. Non greasy at all. After patting this into my skin, I feel immediately hydrating and baby soft skin.

Great ingredients and soothe my irritated skin. I recommend this to my best friend who is allergic to sunshine. She loves this serum so much. After 2 days of use, her skin calms down. You know how happy she is.

Unscented at all. Only carry Tamanu oil's natural scent. Personally I am obsessed with this scent. If you are new, go to your local sprouts or wholefoods, check tamanu oil and sniff to see if you love this scent.

During the warm season this is my go to serum or face cream. During winter I use this serum plus thick face cream.

I didn’t find anything bad, the only bad thing is it’s hard to find!

This thing absolutely saved my skin after ruining my moisture barrier from over using tretinoin. It truly is a great barrier relief!

This serum makes my oily skin look greasy and breaks me out if used longer than four or five days. It has a strong earthy scent that lingers for a while. I like it but some will find it unpleasant.

SRP: US $28.00

Krave Beauty’s Great Barrier Relief has a greenish tint, a lotion texture which spreads well, and a natural earthy scent which I have grown to like. This is a serum but feels more like an emulsion and can be used as a moisturizer by those with oily skin. It works well over and under other products and it doesn’t have a sticky residue. It’s packaged in a transparent pump bottle.

This serum is super hyped in the skincare community and for good reasons. It really does soothe and calm inflamed skin. It’s gentle and doesn’t sting when applied on broken skin or active acne. Heard that some people experience slight tingling but that never happened to me.

I use this when my skin is feeling dull or irritated, however, I can’t use this longer than four or five days because it gives me cystic pimples. Despite that, I’ll continue to use this especially during emergencies when my skin needs some TLC. This serum is able to bring hydration, moisture, suppleness, and plumpness back into skin in just a few days. This, Stratia’s Liquid Gold, and Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex Serum are my fatty acid rich products and they all make my skin feel healthy and resilient.

GBR contains tamanu oil (10%), rosehip oil, and safflower oil, which are all rich in fatty acids and have regenerative and antioxidant properties. It also contains niacinamide at 2%. This helps in brightening skin as well as reducing signs of aging. GBR is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and essential oil-free.

It adds so much moisture on my skin, so I did trial and error numerous time to get the right way

Great Barrier Relief from @kravebeauty

---
• Notable ingredients: 10% tamanu oil, safflower oil, rosehip oil, niacinamide/vit B3, NMF, Squalane, Ceramide

• Texture is a pale green, super-creamy light lotion, easy to spread and absorbs relatively fast. Smells exactly like tamanu oil but this has a milder scent and I’m okay with that

• The bottle itself is a sturdy transparent plastic bottle with a pump and opaque white cap.

I’ve been using this for almost six months and it’s every bit as good as it promises. A lil information, I only use this product when my skin is sensitize, some flakiness and inflammation or when it needs some healing. Also, I put this product as a moisturizer (not a serum) at my evening routine only.

After many trial and errors, I honestly have mixed feelings about the product. While I do like the texture, I’ve learned that 1-2 pumps is enough per use because I feel so nourished. It adds so much moisture on my skin.

Other than that, I’ve noticed that the patch of irritated, itchy skin on my cheek is now much calmer and less inflamed but haven’t noticed much with my hyperpigmentation.
