• This is marketed as hydrating but I find that zinc oxide sunscreens can be a bit drying to my skin especially on my under-eye area. This was no exception. Using a moisturizer before application is a must. 

• It’s fragrance-free but has an earthy, dirty scent that some may find unappealing. Took me a couple of days to get used to it.

• Dermaprotect has 16.2% zinc oxide which is higher compared to others in the market. Zinc oxide is an inorganic, broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects against UVA I, UVA II, and UVB. It is considered to be the broadest range sunscreen filter.

• This contains several antioxidants - vitamin C, vitamin E, green tea, centella asiatica, resveratrol, and coQ10 - which provide anti-aging and soothing benefits to the skin. 

• It’s alcohol, fragrance, and essential oil-free. 

• The sunscreen has more of a gel-like than paste-like texture. It’s soft, silky, and siliconey to the touch and glides smoothly on skin. It can be used as a primer. 

• The Dermaprotect is tinted so there is no white cast. It is said that the tint is universal but it looks too dark out of the tube. I got worried I wouldn’t be able to use this but the color transformed into the perfect match after a few minutes on skin.  

• This can be used as a foundation too and the coverage is quite adequate. It blurs dark spots and imperfections and has a natural matte finish that lasts for several hours.
