The fragrance is very light and pleasant. There is no foaming and the gel is very smooth and light. You don't need to use very much either.
It's hard for me to tell if it's doing anything for me, as I had a bit of a break out last week, but that could be stress related. Other than the break out, my skin is staying hydrated better than before.

Bounce Back Jelly Cleanser
This is an incredible hydrating cleanser that leaves your skin feeling clean but not stripped at all. It is soap free so it will not foam up but it does a fantastic job cleansing. Great for dry skin.
There is a coconut scent so if you're sensitive to fragrance, you may not like this.
