It does leave a slight oily film behind but it's okay since I always follow up with a second cleanser. It's very watery so I tend to use more product so I'll be emptying this quite fast! The price is a little expensive for me too.

It's really watery but effective in removing light makeup and sunscreen. The slight herbal scent isnt too much for me too. It emulsifies well and doesn't sting my eyes or makes my vision blurry. Overall, a really effective light cleansing oil!

🍵 Texture and scent: This toner is quite brown and watery. It gets absorbed really quickly into the skin with no sticky finishing. It has a herbal scent that does linger on for a while, which might be too strong for some but I didn’t mind it.

🍵 Thoughts: I enjoyed using this toner in my morning routine since it feels really refreshing and kept my skin hydrated. I liked that it gets absorbed quickly even with 2 layers, and I can move on quickly to my vitamin C. I noticed that my skin didn’t feel as oily as the day progressed when I was using this toner.

A bit too watery so application can get a bit messy.

🌱 Notable ingredients and aims: this essence has only 1 ingredient - 100% Artemisia Princeps Extract and it aims to soothe and hydrate sensitive skin. Artemisia Princeps Extract (commonly known as mugwort) has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, which can help to soothe skin conditions such as dryness and redness.

🌱 Texture and scent: the texture is more on the watery side, but has a slight slip to it as you apply it. It gets absorbed pretty fast and doesn’t feel sticky at all. The scent is slightly herbal and reminds me of Chinese medicine but in a comforting way.

🌱 Thoughts: I like how soothing this essence feels! I use this after my toner step. I normally reach for this after a long day out to soothe my cheeks area since I tend to get a bit red there, and I also use this after using an exfoliant. It works well in calming down any slight irritation for me.

Overall, this is an effective soothing product which could work well if you are looking for soothing products and it’s so easy to include in a routine since it does not clash with other ingredients.

💜 Texture and scent: it has a thick lotion texture which spreads easily on the skin. There’s also not much of a scent to it since it’s EOs and fragrance free.
