Okay, so how are you all managing to reapply sunscreen without ruining your makeup? I’ve heard of SPF powders and sprays, but I’m not sure if they actually work. What’s your go-to method?

Reapplying Sunscreen Over Makeup ?

I wanted to share my experience with mascara, hoping it might help others with thin, short, and straight lashes like mine.

For the longest time, I struggled with mascara. I kept telling myself things like:  

- "It doesn’t look good because my lashes are naturally short."  
- "My lashes are too straight and can’t handle the weight."  
- "They’re too thin for mascara to make a difference."  

Eventually, I gave up. I convinced myself I looked better without mascara and stopped using it altogether.  

But then, I came across several videos on my FYP about the blue Focallure Mascara. It looked amazing, and since it was affordable, I decided to give it a try. I recorded my first impression on it, but once again, I was disappointed. The formula felt too thick, weighed my lashes down, and didn’t look right. Frustrated, I gave up on it again.  

Fast forward to a random day on TikTok, I saw a tutorial where a girl showed a completely different way to apply mascara from mine. Out of curiosity, I decided to try her method using the same mascara I had. And guess what? THE PROBLEM WASN'T THE MASCARA—IT WAS MY APPLICATION TECHNIQUE!

It had never occurred to me that the way I was applying mascara could be just as important as the product itself. Changing my method completely changed how my lashes looked.

If you’re struggling with mascara like I was, don’t give up just yet. Sometimes, the right technique can make all the difference.

My Struggles with Mascara

Can anyone help me figure out what my hair type is? 

This is my hair air dried, I make sure to comb it properly but it always become frizzy once it dries. My guess is 1B or 2A but I'd like to ask people who know more.

Hi everyone!

I was born with naturally tan skin, but as I grew up, my skin gradually got lighter. I think this is because most of the skincare and beauty products in my country are focused on lightening. At first I liked it because I grew up thinking that lighter means better. Now that I'm older, I dislike it because it makes my skin color look uneven and dead especially my body.

Recently, I went on a trip (lots of sun and beaches!), and I was able to get back my original tan color. I love how my skin looks now and want to maintain it, but I’m not sure how to go about it.

Does anyone have tips or product recommendations without lightening effects? I'd also like to add that my skin is very sensitive and does not react well to fragrance. I’d love to know how to protect my skin while keeping this color for as long as possible.

How to Care for Tan Skin?

If you have really oily skin, this product can make you look more oily. It also cannot be reapplied as easily as sticks when you have makeup on. 

This is the best sunscreen I've tried so far. It is formulated very nicely according to tropical weather. What I love most about this sunscreen is the texture, it’s incredibly lightweight and absorbs well, leaving no greasy residue or white cast. Instead, it gives my skin a subtle glow that I absolutely love. 

it’s quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. My foundation goes on smoothly over it, and it doesn’t pill or make my skin feel heavy.

It is not for oily skin types. If you're prone to excess shine, this moisturizer might not offer the best oil control + it might feel heavy for you. It also made my skin sting ever so slightly.

This is highly recommended for its hydrating and soothing properties. It is a usually suggested for dry or sensitive skin. The moisturizer has a creamy texture that makes it easy to spread and absorb. It does not have a stong scent which is always a plus for me.

I wish they had smaller versions of this that I can easily carry in a small bag for overnight staycations. 

LOVED IT !! Leaves my skin moisturized, it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, and it does not have a strong scent. IT DOES NOT MAKE ME MORE OILY !!The packaging is also very well made, looks great and hygienic.

The corners of the packaging easily stains. The pigment is buildable BUT it takes effort to build for tan skin. 

This blush is a soft, muted pink with neutral undertones. The formula for the cream blush has a slight satin finish. The texture is silky and lightweight, allowing for a smooth and even application that blends seamlessly into the skin. The pigment is BUILDABLE. It works even for skintones that are a bit tan. It is FRAGRANCE-FREE, and non-irritating. Overall, it gives a very pretty natural blush look and it is suitable for everyday use.

Although it works on waterproof makeup it will require a bit more swipes. I love that it's made for sensitive skin, but the lack of skincare components might not be appealing to everyone.

This is a gentle makeup remover and cleanser suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. One of my favorite things about it is is its non-greasy, water-like texture that doesn't leave any residue behind. Additionally, it’s fragrance-free, making it a great option for sensitive skin or those who prefer minimal products.
