BHA Blackhead Blaster
This blackhead eliminating product claims to help remove blackheads, a marketing claim that traps most of us blackheaded people π’
The product comes in a compact tube format that is travel friendly. It also makes applying very convenient. However this format also turned out to be a problem towards the end (refer to the cons about this product).
The product emulsifies easily with water and I find it to double up as a cleanser as well, as it is able to cleanse and dissolve oil from my face effortlessly. It leave my skin clean without the stripping feeling, as long as I only rub on specifically focused areas such as the T-zone.
As for blackhead removal... It did not make any significant difference but I did notice the softening of some of those clogged / excess sebum in my pores. This could also be due to the effort and time spent massaging / rubbing those specific areas. But it still requires some extra effort to extract those softened gunk in my pores.
Towards the end of this product's life, it becomes extremely difficult to reach for the product. I have to dig out the remaining product with my nails, which is kind of unhygienic and inconvenient.
Also, there's surprisingly very little product in this tube. I used it only once a week and ran out of product in about 3 months or so.
This product also contains tiny beads / shards for physical exfoliation that I didn't find very helpful. They might even hurt sensitive skin when your barrier is compromised.
Lastly, why this product didn't work that well is probably because it doesn't even contain salicylic acid. It only contains willow bark extract instead, which is probably way too gentle.
That is all, I probably wouldn't repurchase or recommend.
