Hydra Silk Face Cream
It's fine. It does what a moisturizer should do: it moisturizes.
I like the pump packaging.
I appreciate that it's vegan and cruelty free.
It feels pretty oily, which is not what I prefer in a moisturizer, even as someone with more dry skin.
I also didn't personally enjoy the fragrance. To be fair, I don't generally tend to enjoy many scents in cosmetics, and that's just a personal preference. It's not a terribly strong scent, but it's definitely noticeable.
This product claims to do all sorts of magical things that it certainly will not actually do. The brand claims that the marjoram (origanum majorana) extract in the product will stimulate the skin to produce collagen and elastin. They also claim that the toothache plant (acmella oleracea) extract will "help to attenuate the cellular aging processes while offering a lifting effect on expression lines". None of that is actually supported by scientific evidence.
There are no magic ingredients in this cream. It largely just consists of a bunch of plant oils and botanical extracts. It will moisturize the skin, sure, but that's pretty much it. It's not an anti-aging product, either, like the brand claims. It's just a moisturizer.
There's generally a whole lot of marketing fluff around this product. I don't appreciate the marketing of this whole brand as "pure" and "natural". It's misleading and contributes to fearmongering against perfectly safe and effective ingredients and brands. Everything is a chemical, including the ingredients that BeOnMe uses. And "natural" is not better than synthetic.
At 32 euros for 50 ml I really don't think this product is worth it.
