5 Acne Pimple Medication
This has been a classic in my skincare routine. I love that it is such an affordable benzoyl peroxide treatment. I see a lot of people complaining about the dark spots after this, and I just want to say that what you are seeing is unrelated to the OXY but is actually post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is completely natural. Don't blame it on the product! Look for other treatments that can accelerate the lightening of these dark spots. These include vitamin c, niacinamide, licorice root extract, etc.
💧Texture: This is a slightly runny, white gel cream. Imo it is a perfect texture for oily skin types.
✋🏻Application: Some days, I apply a thin layer of this on my face when I feel like a breakout is coming (as a preventative treatment). On other days, I also use this as a spot treatment for active pimples on my face. When using as a spot treatment, it does sting sometimes. However, I don’t worry too much about it. My skin usually turns out okay.
💨Performance: It is very effective at treating pimples, especially hormonal acne that sits under the skin and hasn’t come to a head. I find that using this as a spot treatment on such breakouts accelerates the time the pimples take to come to a head. It also very effectively treats active pimples, and they usually go away within two or three days.
💲Price: This is such an affordable treatment! Compared to other brands like Benzac etc, this is by far the cheapest. I bought a 25g tube for just S$6. It will last me at least half a year or more.
🌸Fragrance: No added fragrance whatsoever. However, there is a chemical, synthetic smell to this.
People with sensitive skin beware. Other than that, I have no complaints!

Totally agree with you, Cedric! I began using it a few weeks ago & my experience has been similar to what you shared.
