Retinol Detox High Potency Mask
Despite the heavy scent reminiscent of Vicks Vapor Rub, and the combination of salicylic acid with retinol, I was pleased that I did not experience any irritation, stinging or tingling.
This mask was a white thin clay like texture that spread very easily onto the skin.
I will say this was a little too good for taming my oily skin as the next morning I woke with a lack of my usual morning shine.
This sensory experience was definitely very overwhelming for me, I was not a fan of the scent. It actually gave me a light headache.
I also found that combo of actives dehydrated my skin severely. The next morning my normal hydrating products left my skin need more.
Overall, I did not find the results to be worth the dehydration it caused. I think there are far more effective products with retinol and far more effective detoxing clay masks out there. Normally with retinol I wake up to an amazing bright glow but in this instance my dehydrated skin left more to be desired.
