Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil is a lightweight all in one oil cleanser that dissolves makeup and impurities without over drying leaving the skin soothed, nourished, and balanced. Key Ingredients: - Lavender Oil has soothing and calming properties, helps to reduce redness, kills acne inducing bacteria - Evening Primrose Oil helps maintain skin hydration and elasticity. Can also help treat acne - Squalane adds weightless hydration, locks in moisture, and restore the proper balance of natural oils in the skin This has a very thin watery texture that feels oily. The scent of essential oils is strong, mainly lavender, but I don’t find it overpowering. Those sensitive to scents will most likely. I rub between my hands then apply to dry face. When I add water to emulsify the oil it turns into a milky consistency. It breaks down my makeup and sunscreen easily and rinses off well. It doesn’t leave behind a oily film on skin once rinsed nor does it leave my skin feeling dry or tight. My skin feels clean and softer after each use. I am not big on essential oils in skincare but I do love that this has evening primrose as an ingredient because it is moisturizing and has ceramides.
