Porefining Salicylic Acid Clay Mask
As an acne-prone person, I have always been a fan of clay masks but it is quite hard to find ones that will not dry easily or leave weird flaky crumbs. This mask, however, spreads like buttercream on the skin and has a very mild sweet-citrus scent – reminds me of iced lemon tea! The process of application was not a hassle and very easy, especially using its provided silicone scoop. I used this 2-3 times a week – sometimes more – for about 15 minutes and as I mentioned, as this is a non-drying mask, no need to worry about those cracking finishes. Throughout the masking session, it gives you a nice, lingering cooling sensation to help you calm down and when you rinsed it off, you will end up with slightly radiant and bright skin! Upon a few uses, you can see your hyperpigmentation slowly fade away – while not instantaneously – which is exciting! This helps to clarify and decongest my skin without making it overly tight or dry and helps to control sebum production too. One scoop goes a long way so I am sure that this will be the best friend for your self-care routine.
I thought the inclusion of Lemon Peel Oil would be a complaint of mine but since this is a rinse-off product and it comes in a very low concentration, it does not give me any irritation instead the scent of sweet citrus gives a nice, indulging, and calming sensation!
Overall, I just find myself reaching this one more than the suggested uses so that means something, right? The way it makes my skin feel super smooth and clarified after every usage led me to adore this clay mask. It is a perfect balance between keeping your skin decongested and staying plumped, so I would say, this is a must in your self-care routine.
