AHA 10% Amino Peeling Ampoule
🌼key ingredients: 10% AHA (Mandelic Acid), BHA, PHA and LHA that gently exfoliates skin. Amino Acid complex (17 types) that rebuilds skin barrier and promotes moisture retention. Relieves irritation, calms redness and protects the skin barrier with Truecica (Tea Tree, Centella Asiatica, Mugwort)
🌼formulation/texture: Has a thin watery texture that gets absorbed quickly. Not sticky nor tacky. Has a slight minty scent bec of the peppermint oil (might bother some)
🌼application: I use this 2x a week during my PM routine. After cleansing, I apply 3 drops and spread it all over my face then followed by the rest of my routine. (Don't use with other acids or retinol)
🌼coin: 950php (19$) for 35ml
🌼verdict: Let's start with, I don't really prefer my chemical exfoliants in a serum/ampoule form because they tend to be a lot more concentrated and can be too much for my sensitive skin, can also be a bit tacky but this ampoule has proven me otherwise. It's very lightweight and didn't irritate my skin (really? that's 10% AHA!), yes but it's Mandelic 😉 It's a much gentle form of AHA compared to the popular Glycolic Acid (you still need to patch test tho!)
Now with the results, I've used it for more than a month 2x a week. I haven't seen significant results for my hyperpigmentation but I can say that it's effective in sloughing off dead skin cells and can really prevent those dirt and sebum from clogging your pores. I find this very calming too. My face feels smooth & soft in the morning and I can see a subtle glow (well that's what AHAs do anyway) Nothing mind blowing but is a nice option if you are looking for an AHA serum/ampoule with elegant texture that does the job.
Contains peppermint oil that can be bothersome to others.
