Black Tea Youth Enhancing Cream
This hydrating and plumping moisturizer contains green tea rich with antioxidants and soothing properties, calming yarrow root, as well as niacinimide and glycerin to improve the quality of skin and promote hydration.
🍃Description: this moisturizer has a very thick texture that has a lot of bounce to it when removing it from the jar. I thought it might feel too heavy on the skin but was pleasantly surprised to find once applied it melts and quickly absorbs. It can get a bit sticky with other products, but overall absorbs well and doesn't leave the feeling of something on the skin after. It has a very strong lemon black tea scent to it, but the scent does not linger and stay very strong for long.
🍃Experience: this is a very nice moisturizer and it does what it claims to. It pumps the skin and maintains hydration, making the skin look younger, and keeps it very soft and smooth. It also has a bit of a dewy sheen to it which gives you a very nice glow that still looks quite natural. It plays well with other products though it can be a bit sticky when you layer it until it fully absorbs. It doesn't cause pilling, and makeup sits well on it. Overall a very nice, simple moisturizer with soothing ingredients. I've also used it as a sleeping mask and applied it quite heavily before bed and thought it worked well. A little goes a long way, so one jar lasted me a very long time.
🍃Cost: $30-40 CAD per 45ml jar
It has fragrance and limonene which are both potential irritants. The strong fragrance may also be too much for some people even though it fades after application.
None of the ingredients are very innovative or mind blowing, so if you're looking for the next trend this is not the one for you, but it is a very simple and effective moisturizer at a reasonable price.
