Too Faced - NatRose review for Hangover Wash the Day Away

I am a huge fan of Too Faced. I'm obsessed with their makeup line, with their eye shadows and foundations being my absolute favorite. I decided to try this for the first time, and I was extremely disappointed. Disappointment may actually be an understatement, if I'm being brutally honest. For starters, the bottle itself was poorly made. First time using this and the tail end busted open (but it was very difficult to squeeze anything out from the correct end). I had no other choice but to to keep the cap closed tight and just squeeze the product out from the end. This caused the cleanser to spill out excessively, though, and get everywhere and wasted a lot of product. Secondly, the formula is horrible. It is heavily fragranced, with an unpleasant smell that lingers. I could barely stand the smell, let alone want to wash my face with it. Third, the end results were concerning. This left my skin feeling stripped and squeaky (like it was being excessively or overly cleansed, even though that wasn't the case). For at least an hour or two, my skin would feel almost rubbery and uncomfortable, and I had to use extra moisturizer to get it to feel normal again. I've used a number of cleansers throughout my life and never have I ever had one cause my skin to feel so odd and unpleasant. Fourth, for faulty packaging design, horrible formula, lackluster ingredients, and undesirable end results -- this product tops my worst-hated skincare products by also being overpriced. I'm shocked that something as expensive and disappointing as this product was out out by a popular and high-end brand. Too Faced generally puts out top-notch items, and I'm curious about how it got back the inspection or tester phrase. You can easily find something else for half the price, but twice the positive results! I only used this product three times (once a day, for 3 days). My skin continued to feel worse, becoming increasingly red and dried out, feeling stripped more and more, and more sensitive then normal. I finally decided to throw it away instead of taking anymore risks with my skin barrier. The busted bottle kept leaking producting, leaving annoying mess everywhere anyway, so I was happy to chuck it in the garbage can!
