Antibacterial action: Inhibits the growth of the acne-causing bacterium Propionibacterium acnes. Anti-keratosis action: Regulates cell division processes in the upper layer of the skin, reducing the possibility of clogged pores and the risk of blackheads and acne. It also has a non-negligible effect in fading acne scars and pigmentation marks caused by UV rays. They do this by inhibiting the production of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin production. Vegan. Not tested on animals. 🌟MY REVIEW: Since the beginning of my skincare journey, I've incorporated a lot of active ingredients in my routine as I have several skin conditions that I want to address. (But my skin is not prone to acne.) Well, azelaic acid was not an active ingredient that I considered to be useful in my routine; I always thought that it was rather for acne-prone skin. But my esthetician gave me this wonderful product to fight against blackheads and sun damage. I use this daily in my AM routine after washing my face with lukewarm water and applying toner. Make sure you shake the bottle properly prior to use! The hole on the dropper is a bit too small, but if you shake the bottle well, this won't cause any problems. The suspension is white and runny with a subtle scent. It is very easily absorbed and pleasant to use. I apply hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, moisturizer and SPF afterwards. I have to say this is a very helpful agent in my routine. Together with niacinamide, it helps a lot with normalizing sebum production in my T zone. It also helps reducing redness and fading UV spots. I will definitely repurchase!
