Centella Dressing Powder
This is a centella dressing powder that supposed to calm and mildly treat your acne. It contains azelaic acid, centella asiastics and zinc oxide, which supposed to calm and make your acnes dry out faster. There are so many way you can use it:
1. Apply directly on to big, pustule pimple for fastest result
2. Mix with serums or cream to add soothing effect
3. Put a layer on your palm and tap directly on your face. Top up with moisturizer to prevent feeling powdery.
I use this powder after all my serums step. I first put it directly on my big acnes and then apply a layer of powder in the whole face, top it up with my moisturizer. I also tried mixing them with my cream and although they blend very nicely, they tend to give my moisturizer a little bit heating up effect which I am not really a big fan off.
After roughly a month of usages, I find this powder did a very good job in soothing my skin. I have been very stressed out during the month to the point that even the most soothing serums will still sting my skin because my skin was extra-sensitive. But this powder instantly calm it off, less redness and less stinging for any serums or creams I mix them in. It even feels better applying on its own.
However, I track my big acnes to see how good it is in treating them, but it was not as good. For big, pusture acnes, if I donโt apply anything, they normally dried out in 5-6 days. With this powder, it dried out in 4-5 days, which is not that much faster. There are other azelaic acid products that works better and faster for me! This powder also do not aid with fading acne spot. Normally azelaic acid would help with that but I think the concentration of azelaic acid is not enough in this product so it does not work. My acne spot looks exactly the same 1 month after it dries out. It also does not make a different in my blind pimple, black head or white head or sebumโฆ while the website claim that they should help.
Finish: 3/5 - powdery so I have to top it up with cream so it does not feel drying
Soothing: 5/5 - calm my extra-sensitive stressing skin so good
Acne treating: 3/5 - dry out big pustules acnes moderately, no effect on other kinds of acnes (blind pimple, white heads, black heads or sebums)
Acne spot fading: 2/5: almost no different
Although I really like its soothing effect, I would not purchase again. There are other azelaic acid products that treat my acnes better while still have soothing effect and assist in post-acnes hyperpigmentation fading.
