Phloretin CF
Claims: Protects the skin from environmental damage caused by the sun and other pollutants. Also helps combat acne, fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration. Recommended for normal, oily, and combination skin types.
Packaging: The full size product comes in an amber-colored bottle with a white and blue label (30 mL), but I had a 4 mL sample dropper bottle that lasted me for 2.5 weeks.
Texture: Watery, slightly oily
Color: Light yellow
Scent: Strong alcohol smell
How I use it:
On clean dry skin, I apply 3-4 drops all over my face and massage into my skin until fully absorbed.
Key ingredients:
• Vitamin C in the form of L-Ascorbic acid - Brightening, anti-aging
• Vitamin E - Anti-aging
• Ferulic acid - UVB protection, stabilizes vitamin C through its antioxidant properties
• Phloretin - Antioxidant, controls sebum production
Verdict:
• What I liked about this product:
I was interested in trying this product because of its simple but powerful list of ingredients targeted towards skin brightening and anti-aging. The amber-colored dropper bottle packaging protects the product from light exposure that would accelerate vitamin C oxidation and makes product dispense and application easy. The consistency is very lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling sticky or greasy. Although I only had a small sample that lasted for a little more than 2 weeks, I have already noticed that my skin looked more radiant and that some acne marks slightly faded. The fine lines on my forehead also appear reduced.
• What I didn't like about this product:
- This product smells strongly like alcohol which is quite unpleasant. This is explained by the face that denatured alcohol is found towards the top of the ingredients list.
- Extremely pricey ($130 for 30 mL)
