Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30
You always think of SPF for your face and body, but never your scalp (thanks to my hairstylist!). I picked this mist because it is one of the few SPF products for hair (and I heard great things about this brand).
ACCORDING TO COOLA
An organic (70%+ organic ingredients) water-resistant (approx. 80 minutes) scalp and hair sunscreen with SPF 30. It also prevents UV-related color fade. Lightweight with no greasy residue. Also contains Monoi Oil to nourish scalp and hair.
THE GOOD
I only used this when I went outdoors. I believe it does it’s job because at the end of the day my scalp and hair don’t feel like they’re on fire after being in the sun all day. I do like it’s also small enough so you can take everywhere.
I still had greasy residue (I tend to use this mist more on the days I haven’t had my hair washed in days lol), but it didn’t make it greasier than I thought it would.
The scent. Don’t get me wrong - it smells good, but it is so fragrant I have to go light on spraying which defeats the purpose be because I am so supposed to protect my hair and scalp.
there’s no parfum in their ingredients list. They say it’s a “natural ocean salted sage scent” but I don’t think so. I think it might be the Plumeria Flower Extract that is making it fragrant.
If the scent was five times less strong (or perhaps unscented), I’d be all set and purchase again.
