No. 6 Bond Smoother
Olaplex no.6 (Bond smoother) is meant to be used as a nourishing protective styling cream that repairs the hair and in my experience it does just that.
This product smoothes out my hair leaving it manageable and soft. I like to use this product on damp hair as both as leave in treatment when I’m not using heat and as a heat protect when I plan to blow dry my hair.
This product can protect the hair for up to 72 hours so it doesn’t need to be applied daily.
- the product is thick and therefore it might be too heavy for fine hait types, especially if the hair is low density and very straight/ sleek. (I have fine hair but I have average to high density curly hair and in my experience it does not weigh my hair down).
- the thickness of the product might make it difficult to spread evenly over the hair to get adequate coverage for heat protection purposes.
- whilst this product can be used as a heat protectant when blow drying or diffusing the hair, another heat protectant will be required for additonal heat styling (example: straightening/ curling the hair).
