Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum

product review positives
✨I received this product for free from Picky and Dear, Klairs in exchange for my honest review. I'm wary of vitamin C for the fact that L-ascorbic acid, the most potent and researched form of vitamin C, oxidizes very quickly (goes bad and ineffective), and is notoriously irritating for skin of all types (best at 10-20%). 😻So, when I saw Klairs come out with this 10% vitamin C derivative serum, I really wanted to try it! *Preservative: ethylhexylglycerin *Perfuming ingredients: mandarin orange peel extract, linoleic acid (also surfactant and emollient) ✨3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, being a derivative of ascorbic acid, is much more gentle AND much more stable, soluble in both water and oil formulations. This also contains niacinamide that furthermore enhances the brightening and pigment-fading power. It's been a pleasure to use! ✅ no scent ✅ no stickiness ✅ no pilling ✅ no stinging I feel the most I can attribute to this product may be a brightening of the darkness on my upper and lower eye lids. I am on my 6th month of 0.025% Tretinoin usage, so many of the other positive changes are due to that retinoid or my Tripollar Stop Vx. BUT! It still stands that this vitamin C has been nothing but a powerhouse of antioxidants and brightening with ZERO negatives, so I can easily recommend this as a product to try if you're wary of vitamin C like myself. 😲In fact, I may request my husband try this for science (sensitive, dry, dietary acne/cystic acne-prone skin). It may be perfect for some of the discoloration he has from shaving, or other tiny acne scars 👀 ℹ️How I use this serum in the mornings: Cleanse, apply BHA toner, apply the Vitamin C Charging Serum and wait a couple minutes, then continue with essence, moisturizing mist, then sunscreen.
product review negatives
❌ For 1 fl oz. this can run you around $27 USD up to about $40 USD. 👍👎 The pump is pretty stiff, but I am in fact able to dispense various amounts of product, so I do like how it functions, even if it's not very smooth. I would maybe purhase this myself if I was able to find this at a good deal.
