BHA+ Pore Zero 30 Second Exfoliator
Be the Skin Pore Zero 30 Second Exfoliant:
So, I recently gave the Be the Skin Pore Zero 30 Second Exfoliant a whirl, and I have to say, it left me a tad perplexed. Cellulose isn’t my favourite exfoliant. It can create the illusion of exfoliation by balling up on the skin, I couldn't shake off the feeling that this might be the case here. It's worth mentioning that if you're interested in a deep dive into cellulose exfoliation, Dr. Michelle Wong has an informative blog post on the topic that you might find intriguing.
While cellulose can indeed serve as an exfoliating agent, I admit it's not my preferred method or ingredient for achieving a thorough exfoliation. The sensation of the product balling up on my skin gave me pause, and I was left questioning whether it was truly sloughing off dead skin cells or merely creating the illusion of doing so.
Now, about that scrubbing agent it boasts – sure, it's marketed as gentle, but here's the thing: after using it, I noticed my skin felt a touch drier than I'd like. And that's when I began to miss my usual liquid exfoliants – they just seem to play nicer with my skin. So, yeah, I'm leaning back towards my trusty routine.
For those who thrive on that gratifying scrubby sensation, I fear this exfoliant might not quite deliver the skin-smoothing satisfaction you're after. It's like it's missing that extra oomph that those super robust scrubs bring to the table.
Oh, and let's talk scent – it's not exactly winning any aroma awards, if you know what I mean. Not a highlight of the experience, for sure.
All in all, my journey with the Be the Skin Pore Zero 30 Second Exfoliant has me feeling a bit torn. On one hand, the whole cellulose affair is intriguing yet dubious, the dryness factor is a mild setback, and the fragrance leaves a bit to be desired. It's got potential, but I'm not entirely convinced it's the skincare champion I was hoping for. ✨pr/gifted from Stylekorean for review purposes only✨
Cellulose: The presence of cellulose in the formula raised doubts about its effectiveness, as the balling-up effect could be more about appearance than actual exfoliation.
Dryness Concerns: Despite its gentle nature, the scrubbing agent left my skin feeling slightly dry after use, which wasn't exactly the post-exfoliation glow I was hoping for.
Unimpressive Fragrance: The product's fragrance wasn't a highlight. It didn't add anything positive to the experience and was somewhat disappointing.
Satisfactory Scrub Lacking: For those who enjoy the invigorating sensation of a thorough scrub, this exfoliant might not provide that level of satisfaction, missing the mark on the rewarding scrubby feel.
