Calamine Ampoule
[Reviewing for you: The Potions Calamine Ampoule] [UPDATED 230923]
This Ampoule with Calamine powder promises to protect skin from external stressors as well as visibly soothing irritated skin, neutralizing redness.
✨an ampoule for the daily use to balance oil-moisture balance, evening out skin tone/texture
-> oil/sebum controlling properties
✨enhances natural glow
✨calamine relieves itchiness and has antiseptic/anti-inflammatory properties, calming hypersensitivity
[Packaging] This ampoule comes in a 20ml/ 0.67 fl. oz. glass container with a dropper. (Price approx. 15.99$ at Coréelle)
[Main ingredients]
•Calamine
[Application]
After toner, I apply 2-3 drops which are enough in my opinion since the consistency is more viscous. Still it doesn’t feel sticky.
Great for applying in both, AM and PM routines for full effectiveness.
[Thoughts]
Using this ampoule made my skin indeed less oily on my t-zone. Nevertheless my dry face parts where still nourished enough and no irritation occurred.
The finish right after application felt somehow oily yet velvety but after it fully absorbed my skin felt soft and bouncy.
After using it constantly for about 3 weeks I could see great differences which included less sensitivity towards heat and a seemingly balanced oil-moisture balance on oily skin parts. Still my complexion maintained its glow.
A big advantage is also that the ampoule did not clog my pores even though it might feel a bit oily at first.
Great option for an additional serum/ampoule to combat irritation and redness since you can follow with any suitable moisturizing product even though this one contributes to nourishing skin but rather feels “lightweight” and less moisturizing when used alone (especially for dry skin types/skin parts).
Another point I enjoyed while using the product, was that it helps to prevent some pimples to get inflamed real bad. Healing process was also sped up.
Overall I love using calamine products in summer since my skin gets over sensitive during heat periods.
Would recommend for dry and oily skin types as well as acne prone skin, since calamine has plenty of benefits!
My combination skin is loving it. I am also considering to incorporate it into my winter routine because the cold is always pretty harsh on my skin making it rougher than usual.
[Update #1]
My skin around my nose got reddened/irritated because I got sick and this one helped me to recover that part faster!
No burning, no itching!
📍on the pricier side for only 20ml
