Panthecell Repair Cica Gauze Pad
I was interested in this product because this gauze pad had perforated lines where you could rip the pads in half which worked perfectly for my forehead. I really enjoy using these on a regular basis, they are super cold when I put them on which is great for soothing and it's well saturated with the toner essence. The residue left on the skin after removing the gauze pads is slightly thicker than a watery toner (kind of like a milky toner) so it's very hydrating. For someone who loves layering toners I've actually skipped my toner step before after using this. Really preps my skin well for makeup. I found that even if my skin had texture, my base makeup would still sit really nicely on my skin. Definitely a need for glass skin!
I was surprised when I found out that there's citric acid in the ingredients. Citric acid is typically a no-no ingredient for me because it's very irritating but I didn't really notice it in this product. But I have found that my face does look a little blotchy after I remove the pads which now I know is because of the citric acid. It doesn't really bother me now that my skin barrier isn't damaged but considering this is a repair product I'm questioning why they included it knowing their target audience would be people with compromised skin barriers. I'm going to used them until I finish but I'll probably look for other soothing toner pads without citric acid in them.
Edit (01/07/23): Actually I thought about it more and since making this initial review I damaged my barrier again and experienced some eczema flare ups so I removed took off another star because it's kinda stupid that I can't use these toner pads meant for repair when my skin needs repair. Maybe it's just because I'm sensitive to citric acid but it's considered an exfoliant so I can't imagine anyone being able to tolerate citric acid when their skin is in bad condition.
Final verdict is that my opinion of this product fluctuates based on my skin condition at the time lol
