Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Facial Serum
This serum contains Centella Asiatics Extract🍃, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract🌿, Madecassoside🌬️ and Asiaticosides🍂 aimed to soothe damaged skin and promote wound healing. It was advertised to soothe sensitive skin.
.
It also contains amino acid complex🦠such as Glycine and Serine which helps repair skin barrier, wound healing and reduce redness through stimulating faster regeneration of skin cells, formation of collagen and fighting free radicals.
It contains hyaluronic acid complex🧬 such as Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer and Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate to enhance moisture content through retention of water in cells.
.
Texture💦
- Gel-like consistency🧫
- Lightweight 🌊
- Has a slight slip almost like it’s oily which makes sense given the oil content
- Slight tacky feel
.
Experience 🧖🏻♀️
I’ve been using this serum for around two weeks. My sister got it for me because I suffer from a form of dermatitis on my upper and lower mouth area. The area is exceptionally dry, painful, red, irritated, dehydrated with skin flaking off. The combination of Centella🍃, Aloe🌿, Madecassosides🌬️ and Asiaticosides🍂 provided a soothing effect almost immediately on the afflicted area. On some days, it hurts more and the serum instead enhances the pain. However, mostly it is really soothing💨. I noticed my skin is less sensitive, albeit still red, and less painful which attribute to the amino acid complex playing their role in repairing my collapsed skin barrier. As a whole, it hydrates, moisturises, and improve my skin barrier. Do note that I only apply it to the dry, flaky area where the tacky feel is minimal and sometimes unnoticeable. It takes a while to absorb into your skin. I don’t apply it on other areas of my skin because it is quite oily and tacky which I’m not a fan of.
.
Overall, the lightweight💧 texture and soothing💨 features are really commendable. I’d recommend this for dry skin, simply because the texture as an oily skin person is not compatible with me (however since I have my dermatitis/dryness/rosacea therefore that specific area is suitable for it).
Not much to be honest.
