It contains several ingredients that maintain the skin's healthiness and strength such as Ectoin, Centella asiatica extracts, Derma-clera and Paeonia suffruticosa. Which are also known for their soothing and calming properties. [ KEY INGREDIENTS ] ■ NIACINAMIDE aka my all time fave skincare ingredient: It's a form of Vitamin B-3 that helps the skin grow a ceramide barrier, reduces inflammation, keeps the skin smooth and moisturized, regulates oil, protects against sun damage, treats hyperpigmentation, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles and has many other benefits for the skin. ■ ECTOIN: an emollient that helps maintain balanced hydration by maintaining the correct water balance in skin. It is an antioxidant that has proven to protect the skin from environmental stressors related to different types of natural light and pollutants. ■ CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACTS: hydrates the skin, calms inflammation and increases collagen synthesis. [ MY EXPERIENCE ] ~ To be honest, before using this product I've always thought that pads in general, whether they're soothing or exfoliating, are a waste of time lol. I thought that they'd only give an instant result, and then after 2-5 minutes the effect will fade away. But let me tell you that this one right here proved me wrong. ~ The first time I've used it, I was so surprised at how the pad is adequately soaked in essence. It isn't harsh on the skin, and wipes away all the impurities on it. ~ I've found myself reaching out to it whenever my skin feels dry or irritated. It gives that cooling, soothing and definitely calming effect. Not only that, but it also hydrates and moisturizes my skin (but that doesn't mean you don't need a moisturizer). Also, it comes with a pair of plastic tongs to pick up the pad without having to touch it with your hands!! ~ Overall, I was quite impressed by this soothing pad and it's definitely a HOLY GRAIL
