Has made my skin more even in texture and tone. Skin feels very smooth and soft after applying. Started this to help with my hyperpigmented skin and although it hasn't removed all my melasma patches it has made them less visible. Soothing when your face feels hot and itchy. Is a light cream that absorbs well into the skin and layers well with other products.

My skin doesn't have acne but from time to time, it gets pimples and/or gets dull and clogged. I like to use very gentle exfoliating products so I can use them regularly without over exfoliating backlash. This is why I bought this Sebiaclear Active Gel by SVR because it is SUPER GENTLE, non irritating and effective. 👀Packaging: this is a 40ml tube with a thin mouthpiece. Great for local application if needed. 💧Texture: this is a simple gel that spreads easily on the skin. A little goes a long way. 🔑Key Ingredients: - Gluconolactone (PHA, exfoliating) - Niacinamide (oil control, soothing, anti-hyperpigmentation) 🥚Exfoliating: Gluconolactone might be my new favorite exfoliating acid!!! It is very gentle yet very effective!! I can say that I had zero irritation when using this smoothing and purifying gel several times a week. I like to apply it during my night routine to wake up with a smooth skin in the morning. ✨ Brightening: if it's exfoliating, it's also obviously brightening!!! So don't expect crazy results regarding hyperpigmentation or brightening but it does help maintain a nice, even skin tone. 🚨Anti-pimples: it indeed dries pimples quite quickly. It helps to avoid very dark pigmentation but only if you don't pick on it. 🚨 Anti-blackheads: i also wanna point out how effective this gel is on blackheads and sebaceous filaments on the nose. Great results without being harsh. Obviously results won't happen overnight but even with a few uses a week, I've seen nice results!! 💦NOT too drying BUT: this exfoliant isn't harsh or drying but I really recommend to use a hydrating essence/serum before and/or a good moisturizer after applying the Sebiaclear Active Gel. ☀️Sunscreen: if you want your exfoliant to work perfectly and to not get any backlash on your skin due to lack of protection, it is absolutely essential to wear SPF everyday. 🎤My experience: I'm used to higher and stronger exfoliants but I don't need them constantly so I really enjoy applying this kind of softer acid on my skin and still have results. This is a Must-Have for MAINTENANCE!! This gel keeps my skin smooth, "poreless" looking. I'm glad it also helps with occasional pimples. I use this gel as a local treatment when needed. I'm sorry I personally really can't say if this gel is effective on more severe acne or not.
