I'm afraid most of them are not recyclable and in terms of how long to use them for - I would say that's dependent on how often you clean it. I don't use loofahs, but use shower gloves and put them in the washing machine from time to time to get rid of bacteria. I don't like unnecessary waste so I keep using them until they start falling apart.

wait is that has expiration? 🤭 i use this every time i take shower but i never buy another one until it’s falling apart lol 😂
I usually twist it till it dry after im using this or just hanging it till it dry
as i know it’s made from plastic i think this doesn’t recycle

They don’t “expire” but they should be replaced regularly, because they remain wet for a long time so bacteria can proliferate. Also, impurities from your body remain trapped. I don’t use loofahs, but I replace my shower sponges every month

I don’t think that they are recyclable. They look quite plasticky to me. Loofahs harbor bacteria and mold when they get wet, they take quite some time to dry and the bathroom has ideal environment for those microbes. So, one should replace loofah every 3-4weeks.
Unused loofahs don’t expire as per my knowledge
If you are interested in environment friendly loofahs, there is one type that grows on trees. I have used it. It works fine.

Thanks! I know I don't change them enough so I was looking for an informative answer.

I throw them away when they cannot hold their shape anymore because they just do not work that way. They are not recyclable.
