It also has Madecassoside which is a known ingredient for its repairing, soothing, brightening and anti-wrinkle effects. Although I am still in my 20s the anti-wrinkle effects really talked to me as if it is a bonus for me to have it. I observe that I feel instant relief and soothing effects when I apply this on my skin. My redness is reduced and over time it has also helped my skin heal. I notice that my scars has lightened and healed. Over time, I also rarely get pimples unlike before so I guess it has really strengthened my irritated skin barrier. This product is also enriched with Eco-Ceramide that strengthens our skin barrier. As I learned, Ceramides are like a moisture-lock. They work to create an artificial film to prevent microorganisms from entering our damaged skin barrier, while at the same time locking in the moisture from escaping our skin. That way, our skin barrier is given enough time to heal and repair with the help of the other ingredients. Because of this, Ceramide is a best ingredient for dry and irritated skin. As for the formulation, it is thick like a balm but the great thing is, it adheres to the skin immediately, with no greasy feeling at all. Also it is unscented. Fragrant products really trigger my breakouts so they are a no-no for people like me who has an acne-prone skin. This product claims to be fragrant free, but when you look in the ingredients it has Asiaticoside. This is a perfuming agent but not really, because it is also an antioxidant. Asiaticoside is naturally an active component of Centella Asiatica so it is nothing to be worried about. When I use this product, I can't really say that that perfuming is noticeable hence it is true that this product is unscented/fragrance-free.
