And then the negatives: The brand claims to not use preservatives. Which is super alarming if true. All products with water in them MUST have preservatives, or else bacteria will grow. I've tried taking a closer look at the ingredient list to figure out if there really is no preservative, or if the brand just says that. Here's the list for reference: Water, Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids, Potassium Cocoate, Glycerin, Betaine, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Calendula Officinalis Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Rosa Rugosa Leaf Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract I'm not a chemist and it's entirely possible that I just don't recognize the preservative in here. But when I put this on incidecoder, there was no identified preservative. I also tried googling the ingredients individually, and couldn't find information saying that one of them could also be used as a preservative. This makes me very nervous. So is the product safe to use? I don't know. I didn't have any problems with mine, but that's not proof of anything. Urang also seems to have changed the formulation of this cleanser at some point, because I can find two different INCI lists for it. The one I posted here is the one that is on the Urang website. The old formulation apparently included a natural preservative system called EURO-NApre, which consists of three different extracts. Did they replace that with something else? I don't know but I'm confused and concerned. As for the price of this cleanser, it can be quite expensive depending on the retailer.
