2023 Cleanser Empties
Here are the cleansers that I used up in 2nd half of 2023. My First Cleansers seemed to last longer, although I’m almost finished with another cleansing balm. Most are 2nd cleansers or used in AM.

Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil
Removes all makeup! Great cleansing oil!
Sharonspendstoomuch
Review: Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil I received this product for free from Picky and Skin1004 in exchange for my honest review. This is described as a lightweight, oil-based cleanser that gently melts away makeup, sunscreen, & dirt without stinging the eyes. Key Ingredients: 🔸 Centella Asiatica (10,000ppm) 🔸 Sunflower Oil 🔸 Olive Oil 🔸 Jojoba oil 🔸 Bergamot fruit oil Packaging/Texture: 200ml clear plastic bottle with white pump cap. Texture is a somewhat runny oil (golden yellow) that has a distinctive floral scent. My Experience: Skin1004 is one of my favorite brands so I was excited to have the opportunity to try this cleanser. I wear sunscreen daily and makeup sometimes, so I always do a double cleanse at night. This cleanser has Centella Asiatica and 6 botanical oils as the main ingredients. Centella Asiatica calms skin, while sunflower and olive oil provides sebum care, and bergamot & jojoba oils provide skin nourishment. As far as my experience goes, this cleanser does a good job removing all traces of sunscreen and makeup (except waterproof mascara). I use 2 pumps and apply with my hands on dry skin, gently massaging all over my face at night . Then I wet my hands, continue massaging until it becomes milky. Then I remove with lukewarm water. I like how easily it glides on the skin and how it washes off without any oily residue. My skin feels clean and not stripped. Then I follow up with my 2nd cleanse and the rest of my routine. Unfortunately I did experience some irritation on my cheeks, but unsure if it was from this cleansing oil or another product. (I plan to reintroduce again to check) I am happy I was able to try this cleanser and will continue to use as it effectively cleans all traces of makeup and sunscreen. But I do prefer other cleansers as my first cleanse and probably would not purchase. Pros: Cleans well, no oily residue, doesn’t burn eyes, short ingredient list Cons: Contains 3 essential oils and added fragrance, strong floral scent Update: I’ve been using this cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen nightly and have decided I really do like it. I reintroduced it after a couple of months and did not experience any skin irritation thr 2nd time around. It dissolves makeup quickly and rinses off cleanly without leaving any filmy residue.

Day By Day Cleansing Gel
I really like this as a 2nd or AM cleanser. Have repurchased!
Sharonspendstoomuch
I purchased this cleanser at a discounted price through the StyleKorean “Ready Set Glow” program, where you can buy 3 full-sized items for $9.99. This is a low pH cleansing gel which helps gently cleanse skin of impurities & control sebum. Key Ingredients: 🔸 36% Citrus Junos Fruit Water(Yuzu) 🔸 Aloe Leaf Juice (5%) 🔸 Glycerin 🔸 Gardenia Fruit Extract 🔸 Coconut derived surfactants Packaging/Texture: 150ml clear plastic bottle with pump. Has a thick gel texture and a slight citrus scent My Experience: This is the 2nd time I chose a product from @sioris_global, as I purchased the Time is Running Out Mist which I loved and wanted to try more products. I like using gel cleansers in the mornings or as my second cleanse at night. This is a nice gentle cleanser and you only need to use 1-2 pumps. I use 1 pump, mix it in my hands with water, massaging into skin. Then I rinse it off with lukewarm water. It has a jelly texture and it turns into a light lather when wet. (No foam) It cleans well without leaving any residue or tight skin. I didn’t experience any irritation or stripping and think this is a nice cleanser for all skin types.

Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser
Just realized I forgot to review this one. This is a nice gentle cleanser that I used for a 2nd cleanse after trying it as my oil 1st cleanser. It is very good for dry skin, but I felt like it didn’t really remove all my makeup and SPF so I switched it up. This was the most expensive one I used up.

I went out of cleansing foam and I figured out that Laneige Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser has pH 5.5 aka ideal pH in cleansing foam. Let's stop right there, but it isn't a foam? Yes, I made a mistake and when I saw "milk" in the name, I thought it would be a great product for a water-based cleanser, but it's an oil-based cleanser. According to Laneige, Laneige Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser mixes traditional oil cleansing with skincare ingredients to provide your skin with lots of moisture. The same hydrating ingredients are in Laneige Cream Skin Refiner. This cleanser doesn't need an emulsifier to cleanse your skin without making it oily. The texture is creamy and it has a nice, delicate scent. Laneige didn't put any artificial scent. The product itself is very economic, I bought it by mistake but I've decided that it's going to stay with me for a while. According to Laneige, if you use waterproof makeup, you might need a pre-cleansing with makeup remover. You don't need a 2nd cleansing after Laneige Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser - you can go straight to your skincare, but I still like to use foam. I use waterproof mascara - can't imagine my life without it after wearing a mask all day long, and yes, this cleansing oil is not enough to fight with Missha's Waterproof Mascara, but the silicone base of your foundation is not a problem for Laneige. It has a mild scent, you almost can't feel it and a bottle which I find easy to use, even the pump is easy to open (while in some cases like Nivea, I used to fight with pumps a lot). I'm pretty sure that every cleanser would have problems with waterproof makeup, that's why I still think that Laneige is a good option with quite a fine availability - you can find it in many Sephora stores and other drugstores all around the world.

Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser
Lovely cleanser. I used this as 2nd cleanse too
Sharonspendstoomuch
I received this product for free as a YesStyle Influencer in exchange for my honest review. I have not used a milk cleanser in a very long time but was interested in trying this one because of the yam root extract ingredient. I read something online about how wild yam extract is being explored as a phyto mucin. It is considered a plant-based alternative to snail mucin due to its similarity in texture as well as its skin care benefits. Claims: ▪️Andong Yam Root is rich in Amino Acid that provides a protective barrier to calm sensitive skin ▪️Vegan Milk Complex comprised of Rice Extract (hydration), Coconut Water (soothing), Soybeans (skin conditioning), Oatmeal (skin rejuvenation), and Sweet Almond Oil (prevents moisture loss) ▪️Good for sensitive or dry skin, or for anyone wanting a gentle moisturizing cleanser Packaging and Texture: ▪️220ml/7.45oz plastic bottle with pump ▪️White creamy milk consistency when dispensed, but has a sticky texture like snail mucin when applied to dry skin I’ve been using this cleanser for around 10 days both AM/PM. In the AM, I’m using as my only cleanser and PM as my 2nd cleanse (after removing makeup/sunscreen with an oil-based cleanser). I’m really liking it so far, as my skin leans dry. The texture is interesting as it appears to be a true milk cleanser, but it is stringy on dry hands like snail mucin. Suggested use is to apply to dry skin and gently massage to remove makeup and impurities, then apply water and continue to massage for about 1 minute, before rinsing with warm water. I found that when I applied it on dry skin, it absorbed into the skin like a moisturizer, so I changed how I used it. I apply 1 full pump of cleanser onto dry skin but add a small amount of water to emulsify, before massaging it into the skin, and then add more water, massaging for 1 minute, before washing off with warm water. It makes my skin feel soft and it feels clean after using, without stripping my skin. It is safe for eyes, although I use an eye and lip makeup remover to remove mascara. I haven’t used a cleansing milk recently because I never thought they cleaned thoroughly and often left a slight film on the skin. I work from home 3days a week, so I don’t wear makeup daily, but I do apply sunscreen every day. I find that it does a good job removing my sunscreen if I massage it into my skin for at least one minute and don’t feel like double cleansing. It is unscented, and I did not experience any irritation whatsoever. It really does a good job or retaining moisture into the skin, and I think it will be a great cleanser in the winter months when my skin gets super dry. I would recommend for sensitive or dry skin types due to the nourishing effects. It can be mixed with a clay mask to help tighten pores, but not sure if those with combination/oily skin will enjoy this cleanser.

Microbiome Cleansing Foam
Initially I liked this as it was the first product with microbiomes I remember trying. I’m not a fan of foaming cleansers as they can strip the skin. This was ok, but I ended up using it as a body cleanser.
Sharonspendstoomuch
I purchased this cleanser for a discounted price through 0.8l for my honest review. Skin Microbiome refers to the mix of bacteria and microorganisms (microflora) that live on your skin. When it is out of balance, skin irritations such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, acne, etc. can develop. Several brands have introduced biome-friendly products to maintain the correct pH and strengthen the skin barrier that keeps skin microbiome in balance. Micro Biome Cleansing foam contains several probiotic ingredients, adding good bacteria to the skin, using alongside gentle ingredients to maintain skin balance. It has a pH of 5.5, which is slightly acidic and allows skin’s natural microflora to thrive. ✔️Key ingredients include: ☑️Glycerin: Moisturizer and humectant ☑️Bifida Ferment: Repairs damaged skin barrier, soothes irritated skin ☑️Lactobacillus Ferment: Skin smoothing, soothing and softening properties ☑️Streptococcus Thermophilus Ferment: Protects skin against infection and improves hydration ☑️Malachite Extract: antioxidant that helps boost skin’s natural defense system ☑️Green Tea: antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties ☑️Agrimony: promotes healthy skin function ☑️Ceramide NP: Keeps skin Hydrated ✔️Texture: Very thick and creamy, almost has consistency of a shaving cream. With addition of water, it works into a rich foamy lather with no noticeable scent. ✔️Packaging: Blue soft plastic 120 ml tube with flip cap, comes sealed. Cleanser is easy to disperse. ✔️My Review: I have been using this cleansing foam for about 2 weeks in my evening routine, as my second cleanse. I usually find foaming cleansers quite drying, but I was interested in trying a micro-biome-friendly product to see the effects on the skin, especially after wearing face masks for so long. This foaming cleanser has a dense, thick creamy consistency, that works up to a rich lather. The consistency just after dispersing is a little different, as it has kind of a tackiness that is kind of like a cobweb before getting it wet. It cleans thoroughly and is easy to rinse off. It is slightly acidic at 5.5pH, and my skin reacts well to cleansers at this pH level. I thought that it was a nice gentle cleanser and face felt smooth and hydrated after using. It didn’t leave my face feeling “tight” like other foam cleansers, which was a pleasant surprise. You only need a small pea-sized amount to generate adequate lather and thoroughly clean the skin. My skin is combination to dry (dry in winter), and I think it would be good for all skin types (maybe not super dry skins though). I had no irritation and since you rinse it off, I am unsure how the fermented ingredients actually help to balance the skin barrier. I usually don’t use a foaming cleanser as my AM cleanse, but it is worth trying out to see the benefits. It is reasonably priced ($13 on Amazon) and I think it would last for quite a while since you only need to use a small amount per use. I would consider repurchasing this cleanser.

All Clean Balm Mandarin
Great for removing all makeup and SPF. I love the smell and this is just as good as the original one
Sharonspendstoomuch
I purchased this balm cleanser from @stylekorean_global through their Ready Set Glow promotion, whuch allows you to purchase 3 items for $9.99. I picked this cleanser, a Numbuzin serum, and the Tocobo sun stick to try in exchange for my honest review. This balm is a sherbet oil-based balm formula that melts away all traces of makeup without stinging eyes. Key ingredients include: ▪️ Bitter Orange ▪️ Tumeric Root ▪️ Glycerin ▪️ Green tea extract ▪️ Chinaberry extract ▪️ Moranga Oil ▪️ Tocopherol ▪️ Ceramide NP ▪️ Shea Butter Packaging & Texture: ▪️120 ml plastic tub with a lift-off lid & white spatula, has a clear plastic lid to protect product ▪️Soft orange sherbet balm with slight citrus scent My Experience: This version of the cleanser is similar to the original Heimish All Clean Balm, but has a lovely citrus smell! I really like how it melts into the skin, changing from a balm to an oil. I used this in PM only as part of my double-cleansing routine. Just take 1 scoop, massage it onto dry skin with fingertips on face & neck for about 1 minute total, just to ensure the oil melts away sunscreen & makeup (if wearing). Adding water emulsifies into a milky texture as it washes off. I thought it did a good job of removing my tube mascara without stinging the eyes. This is a nice cleanser, very easy to wash off, & does not leave a greasy/oily film after using. Like the original version, it does remove all makeup and did not irritate or strip my skin. I’ll continue using it but I do prefer other cleansing balms or the Original version due to some of the ingredients.

Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
I think this is one of the best products from this brand! I’ve used it off and on for a few years. I always decant some when I travel since it doesn’t irritate and works great! I sometimes experience skin issues when traveling and this cleanser helps soothe if I have any bad reactions.
Sharonspendstoomuch
This is a great gentle cleanser and is reasonably priced at $16. I find that a little bit of this cleanser goes a long way. It has a jelly like consistency and it slightly foams. I find that it cleans well without stripping your skin. I use this cleanser as my 2nd cleanse at night. It has an herbal scent which I like. It includes great ingredients like green tea leaf water and powder, hemp seed oil, sweet almond oil, oat kernel extract as well as glycerin and panthenol. I highly recommed.
