Reedle Shot 100
My favorite new skincare product! I wasn’t even expecting to like this so much, but it did wonders for my oily combination skin!
TasTheStuff
I have seen this all over my socials and was wondering what the hype was - and NOW I get it. I’m so excited and pleased to have incorporated a new skincare product that I will be using in my skincare routine. This isn’t like any other skincare item in my collection, and I will be looking more from this brand in the future. This is the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100, an essence that is meant to mimic microneedling treatment. Rest assured, there is no needles involved. Out of the three concentrations I’ve tested, this is the most mild and tolerable formulation. I have seen improvements in my skin as little as two weeks, which honestly was impressive for me. Some of my acne marks faded away completely, which I haven’t been able to get rid of for years. This product now will remain in my rotation for years to come. Here’s some of the many reasons why I was interested in the Reedle Shot 100: 🌱 I’m actually scared of needles (funnily enough, because my professional work involves dealing with needles on most days), and I was actually under the assumption this was applied using microneedles. Safe to say, its none of that. No needles, better for me. 🌱 From the set of three I got, I prefer this one the most. It is the 100, weakest concentration, and it’s good enough to apply on a daily basis. Though, I prefer applying every other day due to the sensation alone, which I will explain in the next bullet point. 🌱 When applying this, I did feel a stinging and tingling sensation. As someone with sensitive skin, of course I was initially worried. However, I noticed that only when I touch my face do I feel the stinging sensation. When left along as first part of skincare routine after washing my face, I don’t feel anything, as long as I’m not putting pressure or touching my face. 🌱 This contains cica reedles, which look like microscopic needles. This is what causes the tingling sensation. This particular ingredient helps shed off dead skin over time, which increases cell turnover rate and results in healthier, brighter skin tone. 🌱 The Reedle Shot 100 contains multiple skincare goodies and no bad ingredients at all. Trust me, I checked it thoroughly. It also makes sense to why this product is so popular. Some of the honorable ingredients to mention include: - Centella Aisatica Extract (an antioxidant that doubles as anti-inflammatory agent for eczema) - Madecassoside (an antioxidant that comes from Centella Asiatica that helps with skin soothing as well - Niacinamide for skin brightening - Glycerin, sodium hyaluronate for hydration of the skin - Glycine for improving wrinkles - Serine as a water binding ingredient (enhances the effect of ngredients that promote hydration - Arginine for speeding up wound healing and is a primary building block of skin collagen - Isoleucine as a skin barrier repair ingredient - Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, which comes from Macadamia nut and is loaded with nourishing fatty acids 🌱 Note, when wearing this, it’s HIGHLY recommended to wear sunscreen after applying this. Your skin will be in a sensitive state and you want to make sure to take care of it. 🌱 Because it mimics a microneedling experience, do not use any external skincare device or LED mask. I would focus on keeping your skin hydrated while this product works to repair your skin. Overall, I rate this a solid 5/5. I don’t think I encountered such a product I liked that is different from what’s usually found on the market. I also like that I’m already seeing effects from this product on my face.

Reedle Shot 300
Like the 100, this is a great product as well. Just make sure to use this every 3 days instead of every day. This is a bit more powerful than the 100, and I’ve seen some of my post acne marks completely fade away.

🩸 Update: November 28, 2024 - Five-Month Assessment of This Essence! I first tried this in July 2024 and shared an update in August, so I’m back with another check-in! I’ll be honest—I haven’t been using this religiously over the past few months, mainly because my skincare routine often clashes with it (like when I use my LED red light tool). I do use that sparingly, so when I incorporate this essence, I avoid using anything else with it during that week, except for a toner and moisturizer. Previously, I used the 100 version more than the 300 because the 300 felt a bit too sharp on my skin. However, I feel like my skin has “graduated” from the 100, and I’ve been reaching for the 300 more lately. Surprisingly, it doesn’t feel as sharp anymore. The 100 transformed my skin a few months ago, and now I rely on the 300 to maintain those results. My pore size remains visibly reduced, my skin texture feels incredibly smooth, and my makeup applies beautifully as a result—which is a huge win for me! I’m keeping my rating at 4.5/5. It’s great for occasional use. While it’s recommended to use this every 3 days (up to twice a week), I personally stick to once a week. This allows me to rotate other skincare products without irritating my skin, and so far, my skin has been doing just fine! ——————————————————————— UPDATE AUG 25, 2024 - Two Month Assessment of this Essence! In my opinion, it hasn't been that long (I usually form final thoughts after 3 months), but my two months of experience have solidified a general opinion on this, leaning positive. Frankly, I don't use this often due to the instructions. I predominantly use the 100 because my skin tolerates it well at the moment, and only a few weeks ago was I able to graduate to using the 300. Keep in mind that I only use the 300 once a week as a replacement for the 100. I've seen promising results with the 100. I suffer from stubborn hyperpigmentation, and I've noticed significant improvement in my skin tone after using this. Initially, my skin felt tender to the touch, as I mentioned in my original review, but it has since grown accustomed, allowing me to start using the 300 sparingly. I recommend using the 300 ONLY after you've used the 50 and 100 enough that your skin has adjusted. I've been using it for a few weeks on a once-weekly basis (the recommended directions suggest applying it up to twice per week) as a replacement for the 100 on certain days. You may experience slight redness initially, but if it persists, I suggest switching to a lower strength to see if your skin tolerates it better. Personally, I didn't experience redness beyond the first day as long as I controlled the strength and amount applied. Be sure to slather on enough moisturizer to help your skin. Overall, I still rate this a 4.5/5. It's great when used correctly. —————————————————————— Original Review June 29, 2024 I have seen this all over my socials and was wondering what the hype was - and NOW I get it. I’m so excited and pleased to have incorporated a new skincare product that I will be using in my skincare routine. This isn’t like any other skincare item in my collection, and I will be looking more from this brand in the future. This is the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 300, an essence that is meant to mimic microneedling treatment. Rest assured, there is no needles involved. Out of the three concentrations I’ve tested, this is is a bit stronger than the 100 concentration, and definitely not meant for every day use. I used this on two days in replacement of the 100 concentration (in the past two weeks), as this is meant to be used every 3 days instead of every day. VT cosmetics has a schedule of applying these products according to concentration, which I highly recommend you to follow. I love this product but it is advised to utilize this with caution. Let’s get into more details on why I appreciate the Reedle Shot 300: 🌱 From the set of three I got, I would say this is probably the one I saw immediate results with. As someone with sensitive skin, the 300 felt pretty strong. It’s meant to be applied every 3 days, and I wouldn’t recommend shortening that duration. I applied it twice in a two week period due to being cautious as well as being aware of my pain threshold, which I will explain in the next bullet point. 🌱 When applying this, I felt a stronger stinging and tingling sensation compared to the 100. As someone with sensitive skin, I felt that I might experience a negative reaction with the 300, despite doing well with the 100. However, after patch testing for an hour, my skin looked fine and the pain did not last more than a few minutes. I also did not experience any irritation. I resumed in doing my whole face, (and yes it hurt the first five minutes but the pain went away) and I will say, the following two days, my skin looked amazing. As long as you’re not touching your face, you won’t feel any pain. Let the cica reedles do its work. 🌱 This contains cica reedles, which look like microscopic needles. This is what causes the tingling sensation. This particular ingredient helps shed off dead skin over time, which increases cell turnover rate and results in healthier, brighter skin tone. 🌱 The Reedle Shot 300 contains multiple skincare goodies and no bad ingredients at all. Trust me, I checked it thoroughly. Similar to the 100, the only main difference that the 300 had a higher concentration of Cica Reedle compared to the 100. I would focus on keeping your skin hydrated (with moisturizer) while this product works to repair your skin. Overall, I rate this a solid 5/5. I like this a lot, but prefer the 100 for my sensitive skin. As someone who engages in daily skincare routine, I have to make a careful note not to use the 300 daily, which is why I use it very sparingly, as recommended by the company.

Reedle Shot 700
This is some STRONG stuff and I LOVE it! This is definitely meant to for a seasoned skincare user. I recommend starting with the 100, and building your way up for tolerance of higher concentration serums from this line.
TasTheStuff
While I see the hype with the Reedle Shot 100 and 300, and rightfully so, I sense that the 700 is meant for the seasoned user of Reedle Shot, as the concentration of this is the strongest. I do like this product, but I exercise caution while using this. Out of the set of reedle shots I received from VT cosmetics, this was the strongest I’ve ever tried. This is the VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 700, an essence that is meant to mimic microneedling treatment with the strongest concentration possible. Out of the three concentrations I’ve tested, this is the strongest of the set, and CANNOT be used in less than a week at minimum. In fact, I recommend using this once every 2 weeks due to how strong this stuff is. I used this once in a two week period, made sure not to go out that day, so my skin could do its magic. The results are amazing in a few days, but this is definitely not for the weak. It stings heavily compared to the other two concentrations, and I think this is the max concentration I’m willing to put on my face. Rest assured, the stinging does not last more than it should (it was max 2 minutes for me). VT cosmetics has a schedule of applying these products according to concentration, which I highly recommend you to follow. I love this product but it is advised to utilize this with caution. It’s also recommended to finish your skincare routine with this alone because it could cause a stinging sensation when used with other products. Let’s get into more details on why I like the Reedle Shot 700, even though I will use it sparingly: 🌱 From the set of three I got, this is is the strongest concentration I’ve ever tried. It’s meant to be applied ONCE every week, and I wouldn’t recommend shortening that duration. I applied it once in a two week period due to being cautious as well as being aware of my pain threshold, which I will explain in the next bullet point. 🌱 When applying this, I felt a stronger stinging and tingling sensation compared to the 100 and the 300. As someone with sensitive skin, albeit not super sensitive, I felt that I might experience a negative reaction with the 700. Luckily, I did not experience any negative reactions at all. I did experience stinging sensation when rubbing it in, but after a couple of minutes, it went away. 🌱 This contains cica reedles, which look like microscopic needles. This is what causes the tingling sensation. This particular ingredient helps shed off dead skin over time, which increases cell turnover rate and results in healthier, brighter skin tone. The difference between the 700, 300, and 100 reflects the concentration of cica reedles, so you can imagine the 700 one being the strongest in terms of effects as well. 🌱 The Reedle Shot 700 contains multiple skincare goodies and no bad ingredients at all. Trust me, I checked it thoroughly. I like this a lot, but prefer the 100 for my sensitive skin, and maybe the 300 occasionally. As someone who engages in daily skincare routine, this product I keep away from my regular products so I don’t mistakeningly use this multiple times in a row.

Day Shield Perfect Sunscreen SPF50
I wanted to like this but unfortunately couldn’t as much. My main need in a sunscreen is that it must be completely cast free and this wasn’t that.
TasTheStuff
I’m very picky when it comes to my sunscreens and have been preferring specific korean sunscreens for so many reasons. I have a couple of favorites, and was pleased to have the opportunity to test another sunscreen. In this review, I’ll be discussing my thoughts on the Gangnam Glow Day Shield Perfect Sunscreen. I think this is a decent sunscreen but it still encompassed a few things that I did not like, hence is why I give a 3/5 rating. 🌼 This sunscreen has an SPF of 50, which is above the minimum recommended range of 30, which is a great thing about this product. 🌼 It’s tinted rather than clear, so it does act as a tone-up cream. One feature I like about this is that it covers some of my blemishes better than the regular sunscreens I use. 🌼 Upon application, I did see white cast and was scared that I may not be able to use this at all. Thankfully, the white cast goes away in about 30 seconds to a minute, and eventually somewhat matched my skintone. 🌼 This product is known to be dewy, and it definitely lives up to that name. In fact, since I already have oily skin, I felt this could easily make me look greasy if I don’t control the amount I put on my face. This reason made deterred me from using this sunscreen as often. 🌼 This does have a soft scent to it, not irritating to the sinuses. However, the perfuming ingredients in this (fragrance, hydroxycitronellal, limonene, and linalool) is what deteriorates what would otherwise have been an excellent formula. I still don’t think it’s that bad, but I know those with smell sensitivity issues may not want to use this at all. Overall, this gets a solid 3/5 for me. I’ve had better sunscreens, and I probably will use this sparingly.

Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream
I won another giveaway for the same product and was able to give a three month update. I highly encourage you to read it to get a thorough insight on how great this product actually is, especially if you have sensitive combination skin type that leans oily.

🤎 UPDATE OCTOBER 24, 2024 My love for this cream is still going strong, as I’m about to enter my 9th month on this. It has solidified itself as an integral part of my skincare routine since March, and I don’t plan on changing it anytime soon. This literally fits the definition of “if it works for you, stick with it”. I don’t have acne marks as visible anymore, just mainly a few freckles (that I had since birth). This has prevented most of the new pimples from coming in. I did have a giant pimple around the month of August when I didn’t use this for a week (switched to another cream temporarily due to vacation) — so I noticed that I should just stick with this cream as long as it works for me. ___________________________________________________ My love for this cream is still going strong, as I’m about to enter my 9th month on this. Looking back at the condition of my skin just half a year ago, I feel so grateful for this product. I remember in 2023, my aunt gave me unsolicited advice about my skin, which really annoyed me because I had just moved and my skin was under a lot of stress. Fast forward a few months into 2024, and my skin has mostly cleared up. The unsolicited advice has also stopped! _______________________________________________ 🩵UPDATE AUGUST 2024 - Update to the 3 month update I gave in July 2024 I’ve already raved about this product and shared my three-month update, and now I’m onto month four. I can confidently testify that my love for this hasn’t changed one bit. This is the one product I can wholeheartedly recommend from this app. I’ve even recommended it to some of my family members and friends who struggle with stubborn minor acne, and they’ve told me they love it as much as I do. What makes this product so special is its consistency in delivering results over time. Even after four months, it continues to keep my skin clear and smooth, without any signs of irritation or diminishing effectiveness. I genuinely believe this is a game-changer for anyone dealing with similar skin concerns. If you’re curious to know more about my experience with it, I’ve detailed my thoughts and progress in my July update. It’s worth checking out if you’re considering adding this to your routine. —————————————————————— 🧡UPDATE JULY 2024 - After 3 months of testing!!! I’m glad to have won another giveaway for this! Having a couple of months of experience on this cream, I can give my finalized opinion of this product as I’ve already finished one jar and am starting another one. This is probably going to be the product of the year for me. I did not expect to love this so much as I currently do. The way this has fade most of my acne marks is unreal, and I cannot thank the brand enough for making such a great product. Besides winning the giveaways, I’ve bought a few to stay well stocked of this product. I’m doing a deep dive into details that I noticed while using this product for the last three months: 🌱 Besides it clearing up old acne spots and marks, this has been very helpful in keeping new pimples at bay. I try not to steer away from this particular moisturizer, because when I do, my skin doesn’t respond as positively. 🌱 Whenever I get (a few) new pimples, I literally put this on for the night. I’ve noticed that within a day or two, those new pimples completely disappear. I don’t know what it is, but in a way, this works like my pimple patches, except better. I can attribute it to the science of this formulation. 🌱 I’ve mentioned before that I have acne prone combination skin. While this kept my acne at bay, it simultaneously repaired my skin barrier and kept it well hydrated, even if I forgot to put this moisturizer the following day. 🌱 This has a cooling sensation so when applying this on puffy skin (which I have on some mornings), it immediately cools and soothes the skin. I feel that this moisturizer really lives up to its name. 🌱As someone with combination skin, I avoid products that leave my skin feeling greasy or such. This does not do any of that. I actually would argue that the texture of this cream is best suited for oilier skin types as it’s light without causing a grease-like effect, but heavy enough to hydrate the skin fully. It absorbs pretty well and doesn’t add “weight” feeling to the face. 🌱 I used to have a slightly more textured skin before using this. I would feel a little bumps here and there and I felt it could use improvement. Funnily enough, while using this for the last three months, I just noticed my skin is a lot smoother and the texture is gone. I would some days go without my skincare routine, but the one thing I did try not to miss was this particular cream. I attribute a lot of my skin improvements to this cream. Overall, this will always stay a solid 5/5 for me. I hope the formulation never changes. —————————————————————— 💜ORIGINAL REVIEW - MARCH 2024 Disclaimer: I received this product for free from Picky and Dr. G in exchange for my honest review. With that being said, let’s dive into what I thought of this product! 🌱 As someone with acne prone skin, this product particularly interested me. I saw so many tiktok videos talking about this product so I was really excited to be given the opportunity to try this. 🌱 This product claims to target skincare issues such as redness, blemishes, irritation as well as hydrate and brighten the skin. 🌱 Key ingredients support the claims. Niacinamide is an ingredient I sought after in my skincare so I was pleased to see this ingredient near the top of the list. It also contains Centella asiatica extract, which is proven to help with soothing and reducing redness of the skin. It also helps with evening out the skintone. 🌱 I’m currently using this in my rotation because through the few days I’ve used this, I’ve seen some improvements in my skin already. 🌱 The smell of this is light and very refreshing. It is an added bonus that this has a very clean smell with no fragrance. This is perfectly suitable for those with sensitive skin. 🌱 I rate this a 10/10 so far. No stinging feel, reduces appearance of dark spots, and actually reduces the redness in my face. I feel that this actually works in targeting the skin issues I had. I still have to continue this for some time to give whether the final verdict is 10/10 or not. #pickyreview #gopicky #dr.g #drg #skincare

Red Blemish Soothing Up Sun SPF50+/PA++++
This has become one of my two favorite sunscreens for the year of 2024. Zero white cast, thin consistency, minimal scent, easy to store packaging makes this one of the most ideal in my opinion.
TasTheStuff
I’ve been through a fair share of good and bad sunscreen, and I’ll admit, this unexpectedly came into my top 10 sunscreens list. I didn’t expect this to be that great, but here we are. Let’s dive into why I liked this product: 🌱 It leaves no white cast. This singular detail is the make it or break it deal for me. It is what will lead me to decide whether I’ll pursue in finding out more about the product. 🌱 It absorbs very quickly. It did not leave any heavy feeling and felt pretty lightweight. I would find this work for any time of the year, especially during warmer times. 🌱 This did not leave me with any reactions. It helped calm the redness in my face, making my face appear more neutral. 🌱 The fragrance in this is so soft and not in your face. It’s very pleasant and does not induce headaches. I’ve has sunscreens that did that, and this didn’t, so this screams high quality to me. 🌱 It’s suitable for combination skin types. As someone with combination skin, I found that my skin LOVES this product.

Propolis Energy Ampule
This was my first time trying this brand, and I wasn’t disappointed! Though I believe that ampoules and serums need a little longer testing period to formulate a solid opinion. I give this a 4/5 as it is generally great, but I will update on this as time goes by.
TasTheStuff
This was certainly a new brand for me to test as I’ve never heard of this, and fortunately, this did not disappoint. I’d like to thank Picky and CNP Laboratory for gifting me this in exhange for my thoughts on these. Upon initial impressions, I took a liking to the packaging aesthetic as it is minimal and no fuss. From what I gathered, this is an ampoule that targets to revitalize the skin. I tried this a couple of times, and I quite liked the texture and how it made my skin feel. I still have to test it for a bit longer to form a solid opinion on this. So far it has met my expectations, so I give this a 4/5. This does not mean it lacks in anything, rather that it met my expectations of a good skincare product, and my standards are pretty high. Here’s a summary of what I experienced with this product while using it: 🌻 The packaging is very professional yet minimal. There is no fuss to the design of the product, which exudes the fact a meticulous and thoughtful process was in play when developing this product. I do think that a step could be taken further given that this contains antioxidant ingredient. I thought rather than using clear bottle design, it would be better to use a tinted bottle to ensure the longevity and stability of the antioxidants used in this. 🌻 Upon opening this, I was met with a gentle (and not very noticeable) scent of propolis - I’d describe it as a warm scent in between floral and plants with a hint of honey. It’s a very herbal based scent. I love this comforting smell, and the scent alone made me feel a bit more refreshed. 🌻 Upon applying, the consistency of this is very similar to that of glycerin (a little thicker than water), so it absorbs quite quickly. It did not trigger any allergies or sensitivies in me, so I’d say this is pretty safe for sensitive skin types. 🌻 This does not contain silicones or any ingredients that would ball up when applying with makeup. This is something I’ve been looking more into because I wear more make-up to the summer. 🌻 Note that this has 10% propolis concentration, so if you’re unsure of being allergic to any bee by-products, definitely do a patch test. Overall, this was a good serum, nothing too mind blowing, hence it’s why I give it a 4/5.

Derma Answer Tension Angle-Fit Ampule
This ampoule was really unique to me as I never came across an ampoule that was opaque rather than clear. It applies like lotion too! I found this to meet my expectations, which is why I gave a 4/5.
TasTheStuff
As someone who’s open to trying to ampoules (and I don’t have as much experience with them because I mostly use essences), I found the description with this one particularly interesting. I’d like to thank Picky and CNP Laboratory for sending me this as an opportunity to test this product and provide my feedback on this. After testing this for about a week, I’ve come to give this a standard 4/5. This means that this has met my expectations of a good skincare product, and I have pretty high standards for my skincare. This is because I have sensitive combination skin that leans oily, so I get very particular with my skincare. This product is stated to have been formulated with 5X Retinol and PCL to restore the skin’s elasticity and firmness, which basically means preventing wrinkles and lines on the face. I haven’t tested it long enough to give a verdict on that, but I will say when applying this, you’ll feel your skin working on maintaining its elasticity. Here’s a brief summmary of what I thought of this product: 🐝 You would ideally apply this after toner stage and before moisturizer stage. This is best to help allow the product to absorb into fresh clean skin, when your skin is at its most vulnerable state post face wash and toner. 🐝 I like that this product is set in a dark bottle. This ensures the longevity and stability of retinol in the product as it needs to be protected from light to remain stable. 🐝 The consistency of this ampoule is similar to that of a lotion’s - it’s white with a bit of a yellow tint to it. Not that it matters, but it was interesting to see a serum/ampoule with color as I usually find them in clear consistency. 🐝 I did an analysis of the ingredients in this product and found that most of the skincare ingredients were great, like squalane, panthenol, and retinol. There were only three ingredients that I would check to resolve any sensitivity or allergy issues and those would be: Ethanol (a form of alcohol), Rosemary Oil (may be an allergen for some), and Limonene (perfuming agent that is considered fragrance). Overall I rate this a 4/5 as it is a good standard ampoule that did not irritate my skin. I will continue to use it to see if this is worth it or not.

Perfect Original Hair Serum
I’m never buying Olaplex bond oil again because I believe this is an exact dupe, or even maybe a slightly better product than that overpriced brand. The silkiness and softness of my hair from using this was phenomenal. However, I haven’t used it long enough but this may change from a 4 star to 5 star review if I like this the same after three months (I’ve used it only around a month so far.)

I've been getting into haircare over the past few years and have been making adjustments based on trials of products I find work best for my hair type. While I love my hair type, it can easily become frizzy if not taken care of. I was fortunate enough to win this from Picky and Mise En Scene, and after trying it for some time, I'm glad to have found another product I'll be incorporating into my haircare routine. This product performed nicely within the expectations of a good hair serum; therefore, I give it a 4/5. Here are my reasons below as to why I give it a 4/5. For reference, 4/5 doesn't mean there's any flaw in the product formulation—rather, it means that it meets my expectations for a great product. 🍊 As someone with virgin hair that sometimes gets frizzy if not cared for, this hair serum worked well to tame my hair type and give it a nice shine without disrupting the volume. I use about 1 to 2 pumps, and it covers all of my hair. I would recommend no more than one pump generally to avoid greasy-looking hair. 🍊 I use this mostly during pre-shampoo and occasionally post-shower. I have oily roots, so I try not to put too much product on my hair. If I do apply it post-shower, I usually put it near the ends. It absorbs nicely rather than just sitting on my hair. 🍊 This did not contribute to any hair loss. I have been very cautious about this as I lost a lot of hair a few years ago using an American-branded shampoo. (That hair company got into major lawsuits during COVID.) It took me a year to get back to my original volume, so I’ve been very cautious about what I put in my hair. So far, I’ve used this multiple times and have not witnessed any hair loss of any form. 🍊 I found this to work similarly to Elizavecca’s CER 100 Collagen Ceramide Coating Protein Treatment in terms of softness post-shower. I love the Elizavecca one, but that is meant to be used during showering rather than by itself. I’m glad this product exists because I can utilize it in case I forget to use Elizavecca's during the shower. 🍊 There is a nice scent to this. I personally found a liking to the scent as it matches my natural hair scent. It smells a bit floral, mostly jasmine-based, which is my favorite flower scent. Too bad it doesn’t last as long as I wish it did. It lasted around 5-6 hours on my hair. 🍊 This is an alcohol-free formulation, which is what I usually look for in my skincare and haircare treatments in general. This has plenty of good ingredients like jojoba seed oil, coconut oil, apricot kernel oil, olive oil, and tocopherol. I would advise doing a patch test to make sure you’re not allergic to it before using it, though. 🍊 One thing that I thought could use improvement is the packaging. Upon opening this, I noticed the bottle was oily to the touch. I couldn’t detect any leakage origin on the bottle, but I feel that this should be control-checked before distribution. Other than this, I didn’t really find any cons.

Rice Foaming Cleanser
This just earned a special place in my skincare routine because of the texture and effectiveness of this on my oily combination skin! Cleanses nicely without drying out my face! Also brightens some of the hyperpigmentation spots I had! Love love love ❤️

Rice-based facial skincare has always worked quite well with my skin. As a matter of fact, the first cleanser that cleared up my high school acne was a rice-based cleanser. Naturally, I was excited to enter this giveaway and thrilled to be one of the winners. That being said, I will provide my utmost honest thoughts about any product I review, and this product is no exception. I honestly set my expectations as four stars for this product, but after using it, I have changed it to 5 stars (out of 5). Here are some of the multiple reasons why I love this product: 🍚 Have you seen the texture of this?! It has micro-granules embedded in the formulation. At first, I thought they were microbeads that don’t do much, but it turns out these are finely ground Korean rice powder! I also noticed this is infused with rice bran water in the ingredients, so it looked better than I expected. 🍚 This foams nicely on the face with water. After washing my face, it felt hydrated and clean at the same time, without being stripped of its natural oils. 🍚 This has several superstar ingredients such as: - Licorice Root Extract (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) for skin brightening - Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract for soothing, anti-bacterial, and moisturizing properties - Arginine (one of the amino acids we need) to help protect skin from free radical damage, improve skin hydration, and support collagen synthesis that prevents wrinkle formation - Glycerin, which has been proven to be one of the best moisturizing ingredients in the skincare market 🍚 The scent of this is very faint yet pleasant. It’s not easy to describe what this scent is, but it’s a scent I find most often in my rice-based skincare products. 🍚 Can we talk about the packaging for a hot minute?! It’s so aesthetically pleasing. The font makes the product look more luxurious. I love that this is an affordable product with a luxurious, simple look. Overall, I rate this a 5/5.

Fresh Herb Origin Serum
This was an unique serum - especially with its dual phase technology. While it wasn’t a game changer for me, I loved that this was a simple product that maintained my skin barri

If you're familiar with the main character from My Love from the Star (2013) or The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016) - Jun Ji-Hyun, you'll know that this product is known as her go-to skincare item. While it might not seem like a big deal, knowing that one of the funniest actresses I've seen on screen and am very familiar with uses it makes me feel more positive towards this product. It also takes me back to my high school days when I spent most of my free time watching K-dramas with friends. I'm thankful to Picky and Nacific for gifting me this product in exchange for my honest thoughts. I tested it for a few weeks, and it's definitely a unique addition to my skincare collection. As far as I know, this might be the only dual-phase serum I have. I love seeing the layers separate after shaking the bottle to use a mixture ratio. Here’s a comprehensive list to what I really liked about this product, and why I rate it a 4/5: 🪴 The brand is known for being vegan and cruelty-free. While I'm not strict about using only vegan products, it's definitely a nice touch that makes me feel confident I'm not supporting cruel practices. 🪴 Upon opening this product, I noticed a pleasant herbal scent of lemongrass, lime, and other herbs. It has a nostalgic, soft fragrance that also feels refreshing. I’m particularly sensitive to strong scents since I get migraines, but this did not trigger any issues for me. 🪴 A distinguishing feature of this product is that it contains the GD7 Complex, which includes: - Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) - Niacinamide - Calcium Pantothenate - Pyridoxine HCL It also contains Vitamin B, white water lily extract, and camellia extract. This differs from their original formula, which included aloe vera leaf juice, camel grass extract, apple mint leaf extract, and white water lily extract. 🪴 I examined the ingredient list of both the previous version and the newer version that I received, and I’ve noticed many ingredient changes. While I cannot speak for the older version as I’ve never tried it, I’ve been liking the newer formula so far. 🪴 I’ve seen reviews of the previous formula stating that it caused a tingling sensation, which the brand attributed to the amino acids in their formulation. I find this particularly interesting because with the newer formula, I did not experience any tingling sensation. I wonder if this is due to the incorporation of better ingredients compared to the previous formula. 🪴 This product is suitable for combination sensitive skin that leans oily. It has been tested on acne-prone skin and is noncomedogenic approved. I haven't experienced any breakouts after using it and have had positive experiences with this product. Overall, I rate this product a 4 out of 5. It met my standards for a good skincare product and doesn't have any flaws. While I haven't seen a game-changing effect, I'm glad it didn't disrupt my skin barrier.

Mugwort Super Calming Toner
I frankly couldn’t like this as much as I wanted to. It did nothing for my skin, but that may be because I usually use products with higher potency ingredients. The mugwort concentration is super low in this, so it’s equivalent to putting almost nothing for me.
TasTheStuff
Here’s to another Meditherapy product review - the Mugwort Super Calming Toner. I was interested in trying this, knowing that mugwort has benefits to it. I decided to give this a try. After a week of trying it out, I can say that I haven’t really seen much of a difference in my face. Here’s an overview of what I thought of this product: 🌳 The texture is as viscous as water - it’s very low. It makes application super easy after cleansing the face. 🌳 It did not sting my face on application, and I have sensitive combination skin. 🌳 Though it does say mugwort in the name, the amount of mugwort concentration here is pretty low due to it being near the bottom of the ingredient list. I’ve tried other brands that contain mugwort, and thought this one wasn’t great as those. 🌳 I feel that this is an okay toner, not one I would reach for often. I’d rate this a 3/5. It’s not great, but not bad either. This is very good for extremely sensitive skin type though, which I don’t have.
