- My Skincare Routine (Night-time)
I’m rounding up products that I’ve been using since February of this year and have made multiple changes in my skincare routine. I’ve been sticking to this skincare routine the last few months, and I’ve seen some great changes. Remember, you do not want to be using too many products at once - that can harm rather than benefit your skin. I like to keep my routine simple, anywhere between 3-6 products depending on how much attention my skin needs. Some of the skincare products in the list is used 1-2x per week; others on a daily basis.
I should post a video showcasing the quality of these but these are so good. After a workout and a shower, I usually put these on my cheeks for 15 minutes until they get fully absorbed. This helps to calm my skin, and I never broke out from this. Literally made for sensitive, acne-prone skin. I use this about 5x per week.
First time trying Dr.G RED Blemish Clear Quick Soothing Pads, and I can safely say, I like these. Because of my previous experience with the brand working well for my skin type, I had high expectations of these, and these didn’t disappoint. These pads work well for my skin. Let’s head dive into why I like these:
💚 Contains 5-Cica Protection: Provides quick moisturizing and protection for my combination skin from the harsh environment.
💚 Contains 89% Pennywort Extract: Helped with deeply hydrating and calming any irritation on my face.
💚 Has an instant cooling effect: Felt like a mini spa treatment at home. It left my skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
💚 Easy to apply: The size of the pads are huge that they cover my cheeks in one go.
💚 Soft Natural Fabric: The pads are made of a luxurious, soft fabric that feels gentle on my skin, making each use a pampering experience.
I rate these a 5/5.
I LOVE this stuff. My sister gifted this to me on my birthday (late in 2023) and now I’m more than halfway done with the bottle. You know the Dr. G blemish soothing pads I mentioned earlier in this list? Once those get somewhat fully absorbed, I pour some of this onto those pads and let it soak on my face. This helps with brightening my post-acne hyperpigmentation spots. I use this almost on a daily basis.
This toner packaging looks really pretty, and not only does it looks aesthetically pleasing, it’s makes your skin look aesthetically pleasing as well! I’m so glad I decided to get this after sorting through multiple toners, and I may just restock this again as well. I have combo skin and recommend this to people with combo skin as well.
What I really liked about this product:
☘️ The clear liquid. It’s simple and no BS product. It’s watery and absorbs into the skin pretty well.
☘️It contains salicylic acid - a good anti-acne ingredient.
☘️It contains panax ginseng root extract and tocopherol - both amazing for antioxidative properties
☘️It contains glycolic acid - which is a mild exfoliant that helps the skin look more smooth and clean. It’s the component with the AHA factor.
Overall, this has become a staple in my routine that helps me get closer to my skin goals.
After my toner, I slather two pumps of this on my face. It’s better than snail mucin in my opinion and doesn’t break me out like snail mucin does. I don’t have much experience with the mixsoon line overall, but this stuff is pretty amazing. I use this around 3x per week.

Alright, let’s talk about the Mixsoon Bean Essence -it’s solid.
🍐I’ve been giving it a go, and honestly? It’s pretty legit. It’s not some miracle cure-all, but it does the job far better than expected.
🍐This stuff claims to hydrate, control oil, and help with pores. It does exactly that. I’ve noticed my skin feels more balanced, and the texture’s smoother too.
🍐This stuff contains four main simple ingredients: fermented bean, barley, pomegranate, and pear juice. It’s a miracle what this essence can do for your face in terms of moisturizing and nourishing, as well as improving the texture of your skin.
🍐As for the feel, it’s not greasy or heavy. It sinks in nicely without leaving a weird film on your face, which is a win in my book.
🍐Bonus points to this for being cruelty-free. Always a plus.
So yeah, if you’re in the market for something straightforward that gets the job done in improving your skin, give this one a shot. No hype, just results.

I follow up with this after applying the mixsoon bean essence. I’ve come across some people saying this doesn’t work for them, but personally, it worked really well for me. It takes time but with about three months of use, I saw some of my major problem areas resolve. I use this maybe 3-4x per week.
My current holy grail: serum edition.
This is probably the best purchase I made so far. I used it for 4 weeks and already saw drastic improvements to my skin.
Here are my reasons why this is the *best* acne mark serum:
🌱 Contains niacinamide. Niacinamide is hyped up it it’s own right. It’s an anti-acne, skin brightening, and cell communicating (basically tells your skin to behave) ingredient.
🌱It contains glycerin - which is literally a skin identical ingredient and helps skin bind with water, which literally translates to hydrated skin.
🌱 The applicator is amazing. It’s sanitary and does not leave mess over time.
🌱 The consistency is smooth and blends in well. There is no tacky aftermath.
🌱Works super well with almost all skin types, especially sensitive and oily skin (which I have)!
I would have never found this holy grail if this app hasn’t introduced me to it, and I’m so thankful for this app. I don’t even mean to kiss up the Picky app - I genuinely don’t easily like things. At first I thought this was like any other moisturizer, but now, I’ve seen this is probably the only moisturizer in my routine that keeps my acne at bay. It’s literally a pimple killer in a jar.

With that being said, let’s dive into what I thought of this product!
🌱 As someone with acne prone skin, this product particularly interested me. I saw so many tiktok videos talking about this product so I was really excited to be given the opportunity to try this.
🌱 This product claims to target skincare issues such as redness, blemishes, irritation as well as hydrate and brighten the skin.
🌱 Key ingredients support the claims. Niacinamide is an ingredient I sought after in my skincare so I was pleased to see this ingredient near the top of the list. It also contains Centella asiatica extract, which is proven to help with soothing and reducing redness of the skin. It also helps with evening out the skintone.
🌱 I’m currently using this in my rotation because through the few days I’ve used this, I’ve seen some improvements in my skin already.
🌱 The smell of this is light and very refreshing. It is an added bonus that this has a very clean smell with no fragrance. This is perfectly suitable for those with sensitive skin.
🌱 I rate this a 10/10 so far. No stinging feel, reduces appearance of dark spots, and actually reduces the redness in my face. I feel that this actually works in targeting the skin issues I had. I still have to continue this for some time to give whether the final verdict is 10/10 or not.

I usually finish my skincare with this product. This massager has been really helping with the under-eye area. While I don’t really have eye-bags, I do have something that looks like malar bags around my cheekbone areas. It’s something I was born with, and I thought it was festoons for the longest, but no - it’s just how my cheeks were since birth. It’s not noticeable, but I try really hard to keep it from puffing up. This has been so helpful in keeping it tight and unnoticeable. I’m going to have to get several backups of this. My mom has become a fan of this so I bought her one as well.
This eye cream particularly caught my eye as I found it to be different from the other eye creams I have. Safe to say, I think this will be my new favorite. I’ve already been using it several times this week, and I’m not the one to really pay attention to eye creams as I should.
❤️ I find the three modes very unique as I often don’t come across devices that have more than one mode, especially for eye creams. The technology and science behind this sounds amazing, and I personally feel that I have seen some results.
❤️ This eye cream device is meant to help with sagging and puffiness of the under eye area, and I have seen a reduction in puffiness (since puffiness is what I rather suffer from). I cannot speak for the sagging effect but I had it tested on my mom, who said she saw some difference in her under-eye area.
❤️ It has three modes:
- Green is meant to massage the under area generally. You feel vibrations with this mode.
- Red provides warmth to the under-eye area, and there are no vibrations in this mode
- Yellow is a combination of heat and vibrations (my personal favorite) because I feel like that is what really makes the difference in the under-eye area.
❤️ This product’s main ingredients consist of collagen extract and silkworm cocoon extract. These are great skin-conditioning ingredients. It also contains polyphenols to promote anti-oxidation, which protects the skin from harmful factors in the environment.
❤️ This has NO scent, which is friendly for every skin type.
Oh my, I've been so hesitant about Dr g red blemish clear soothing cream idk why I find them shady haha 😄 should I give in to the hype it's been long time
That’s weird - what’s shady about them? I feel like if anything, they’re a brand I’d trust because they’re not as hyped up as some of the other brands I’ve seen. It’s also been around for some time too (2006).
