Do the Korean use Tone up Cream?

I wonder about this topic because, according to my logic, most Koreans have a naturally bright skin tone. So, do they use tone-up cream? Or is K-beauty tone-up cream made for other markets, such as Southeast Asia, where people prefer brighter skin tones?

They do, but not everyone likes it. They often look like floating heads. It's colorism and I don't think it's flattering.

I believe most of them do use it. I can't remember where I saw it, but it was about sunscreen reviews. For sunscreens with an invisible finish, without tone up or white cast, they would complain and rate it lower because of the absence of tone up/brightening. Whereas for sunscreens with a tone up/slight white cast, it would be rated highly because they like the brightening effect 😅😂 They prefer tone up because it helps even out their skin tone, reduce redness and can be used as a makeup base/primer. Some even skip foundation completely, going for a foundation-free makeup look. Hence why they like tone up creams. And of course, because of their obsession with super pale fair skin 👻🤡
