LETS TALK PR 🛍️🛍️

Hi beauties,,,so yesterday i posted about PR and brands emails 💌 I had alot of varied comments asking about PR. So here is a general overview and *DO’s* & *DONT’s* Getting PR packages isn’t just about cute unboxings and “thank youuuu” stories. It’s a relationship, not a random Amazon delivery. Here’s the lowdown on the *do’s* & *dont’s* when you’re emailing brands and hoping to receive that sweet, sweet PR: DO: Introduce yourself like a human. “Hi! I’m [Name], a lifestyle creator who focuses on…”—not “hey u up?” Share your stats (but make it ✨relevant✨). Don’t just drop numbers. Tell them what audience they’re reaching with you. Show how you align. Why do you actually want their product? Flattery works, but make it genuine. Include your media kit or a one-pager. Make it easy for them to say yes. Tag & thank when you do get PR. Gratitude is good PR too. DON’T: Send a copy-paste “Hi Brand” email to 50 companies. They know. They always know. Lie about reach or fake engagement. It’s 2025. Brands have receipts. Forget to disclose gifted items. #Ad #Gifted—ethics are still cool. Complain about not getting PR online. You might be manifesting…but also scaring the brands away. Leave them on read. Got the goods? Follow up, create content, and close the loop. Little Extras That Go a Long Way: Make a “PR Highlight” or pinned post so brands can find you. Share past collabs (even gifted!) to show what working with you looks like. BE PATIENT. Brands plan months ahead and get lots of DMs. TL;DR: You’re not begging—you’re pitching a partnership. Lead with value, stay true to your style, and soon enough, that mailman’s gonna know your name. That’s all for now lovelys 💗🙌 comment if you have questions x

It’s really interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts on PR! I agree that honesty and genuine reviews are so important, whether it’s PR or personal purchases.

Yeah because it helps the brand whether is good or bad feedback. If no one tells them a foundation is oxidizing, causes pilling, or has an unappealing fragrance they might not know .

Great tips, especially the "manifesting" part. Brands typically approach PR gifting with clear objectives: they want to collaborate with influencers who align with their brand values, have strong engagement, and can authentically showcase their products. When users publicly express frustration about not being chosen, making it seem like PR gifting is an entitlement, it can come across as transactional rather than organic enthusiasm. This may make brands more cautious about their selection process, prioritizing creators who focus on genuine engagement rather than public complaints.
