Well generally, you can apply it even in your PM routine. It's fine.
It's just people mostly avoid using Vit C at night is to avoid complications, because that's when they apply their actives like Aha, Bha and Retinol.

No you don’t need need to ONLY apply. It’s much more beneficial in morning but you stoll get some benefits from using it at night, or you can use it’s twice a day.

It’s not bad to use at night but it’s just much more beneficial to use during the day as it helps to prevent damage from free radicals and that benefit is kind of wasted if used at night.

Just best to apply in AM because of photoprotective and antioxidant effects
