I apply lip balm on damp lips, I find that it this way it retains moisture much better than applying it on dry lips.
I also apply an occlusive on top and a lot of occlusive at night, the one I use is basic Vaseline.

I see.. you mean damp lips like you apply water on your lips then apply lip balm?

I also suffer from chronic dry lips, I find it helpful to just spread whatever hydrating skincare I use on my face to my lips. Like toners, essence, serum, moisturizer etc.

Yeah I did apply hydrating skincare on my lips like what you have described, but my lips sting (feels like chilli on my lips) after I applied them one by one. It never happened to me before though ๐
These few days my lips feel dry and painful, don't know why..
