Based on my own experience its Double Cleansing ! It helps a lot especially in my forehead area. There was a time when I run out my balm cleanser cause I did not restock it yet but then I was facing a really bumpy skin. My skin was a mess and from that day I've never wanted to skip double cleansing anymore
Other than that maybe you can check if theres any of your products that are too thick for your skin like maybe your moisturizer or serum/your routine too heavy. Sometimes less is better especially in the AM routine as we tend to sweat more
My skin limit for layering serum/ampoule is only 2 types. Nevertheless I don't apply the method everyday cause I experienced clogged pores after done it daily. I understand that most people have a varieties of serum in thier stash and maybe some of it need to be emptied ASAP or it just thier skin need it

If these haven't worked for you it could be that they weren't strong enough of a product, it is highly possible you may need to go on a prescription of some form of topical treatment. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist to help you combat the closed comedones.

oh, I have actually gone to two dermatologists! They just recommend for me to go back there every month to extract my comedones, which is pretty expensive and tiring, but I always hear about people being able to stop their comedones so I wanted to try it too. Thank you for replying though!

AHA and BHA is really not something i would recommend for acne treatment, though i highly recommend for textured skin, sebum control and exfoliation.
If it's acne, i recommed Salicylic acid, azelaic or retinol.
They're more effective for acne treatment and they hasten skin turnover to bring out the gunk under your skin to the surface, so they can heal faster.
From my experience with closed comedones, i find salysilic acid and retinol to be the most effective but i experienced purging with the retinol so you may want to take this to account.
Here's a table for treatment on every skin concern.

I appreciate the table!! Hm, I've tried salicylic cleanser, and unfortunately, all it did was dry my skin out, but maybe I'll try azelaic in the future. thank you !

I would recommend going for retinol and visit esthetician - it's hard to say why AHA/BHA is not working just by talking. It might be that the concentration you use is too weak or maybe manual cleansing will be better for you

For closed comedones use AHA and check the skincare and make up products you’re using bc most of them may cause the closed comedones. Lactic acid and glicolic acid are good at reducing them. If you have an option to get the extracted by an esthetician would be better

I always make sure that my products don't cause comedones, so I don't think it could be that. Maybe I just need a high concentration AHA. Thanks a lot!
