Cleansing your face in the shower

I once heard someone say that you shouldn’t cleanse your face in the shower and I didn’t question it but I definitely stopped doing it. Is there any truth to this?

I think the thought behind is that normally people have pretty hot showers and it's best to wash your face with lukewarm water. So if you wash it separately, you can use cooler water.

I dont see a problem to it as i always wash my face in the shower. If its the temperature, i bath with cool water mostly

I have not heard of this and I don’t see a problem. I always wash my face in the shower. The water I use isn’t boiling hot or anything, lukewarm or cold.
