Neogen is a well established Korean brand, some of their Best-Sellers include the Bio-Peel Gauze Peeling Wine (my favourite)/ Green Tea or Lemon; Real Ferment Micro Essence, and the Tiktok famous Pore Tight Peeling Mousse. But there are so many great products from this brand, it’s certainly worth a look at their website and reviews. Today we will compare the similarities and differences between the Day-Light Protection Sunscreen and the Day-Light Protection Airy Sunscreen. What do they have in common? Let’s start by their similarities. Both formulas offer a Broad Spectrum SPF of 50, they are light-weight, fast absorving, moisturizing and leave a nice dewy finish on the skin. The frangrance is very similar to lemongrass, it is not a suble fragrance so if you don’t like this scent I would advise to streer away from this sunscreen. The packaging is extremely similar, there is only a small change to the colour scheme. Whilst the original has a silver tube and a white and copper label, the Airy Suncreen also has blue on the label. Even though the price point is not exactly the same, the difference is not abysmal. The Day-light Protection Sunscreen is market at 30 USD and the Day-light Protection Airy Sunscreen is marked at 32 USD on the brand’s US website. What are the differences? Now that we have established the similarities, let’s go over the differences. The biggest difference between these two sunscreens rely on the UV filter used in their formulas. Day-Light Protection Sunscreen UV Filters: Titanium Dioxide (Physical Filter) Zinc Oxide (Physical Filter) Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (Chemical Filter) Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (Chemical Filter) Isoamyl P-Methoxycinnamate (Chemical Filter) Day-Light Protection Airy Sunscreen UV Filters: Octocrylene (Chemical Filter) Homosalate (Chemical Filter) Avobenzone (Chemical Filter) If the original is a Hybrid Sunscreen due to its physycal and chemical uv filters, the Airy Sunscreen is entirely chemical. On one hand, the Day-light Protection Sunscreen could leave a slight white cast on darker skin tones, on the other hand, the Airy Sunscreen is 100% white cast free and always a safe bet. I have a light skin tone so I didn’t experience white cast from the original sunscreen. Whatever type of sunscreen you choose, the most important thing is to wear sunscreen everyday.
