1. Patch test: If this is your first time using a BHA or Salicylic acid i suggest doing a patch test first either on a small section of your face or your inner elbow. If there's no reaction then you can start using it regularly. 2. How to start: Its good to start using this slowly to avoid irritating your skin. So start maybe 3 times a week to every 2nd day and then start using daily if you prefer. The Paula's Choice website actually states that you can use this twice a day. I dont believe its necessary to do it this often but everyone's different. 3. How to apply: Apply your BHA after cleansing and using a toner. If it's a liquid BHA then i suggest using a cotton pad, but if its a lotion or a gel, then you apply it just using your fingers. Apply it on your dry face and neck and leave to dry. This does not need to be rinsed off. You can apply to to a damp face but this can potentially increase your risk of irritation. Its depends on your personal preference One this has dried you can then apply your moisturiser. Although applying moisturiser to a damp face allows for better absorption and greater hydration it is not necessary. 4. SPF: Studies have shown that using BHA's actually ihelp protect the skin against sun damage but the Paula's Choicd website suggests to use an SPF +15 with it if using it during that day. I personally would prefer to wear SPF with it as it is an exfoliant, but I also wear sunscreen religiously. Again, this is up to you and your personal preference. 5. Things to avoid Although you can use it around the eye area, avoid putting it on the eyelid or directly under the eye/along the lower lash line. Avoid using multiple strong or high-percentage chemical exfoliants more than once per day. Its not necessary to use both an AHA and a BHA in the same day. Excessive exfoliation is one of the easiest ways to damage your protective skin barrier and can lead to skin irritation.

I have this one too... After cleansing and toning, apply this Paula's Choice exfoliant on a cotton pad and swipe across your face. Then you can use your moisturizer afterward. If it's too much for your skin, I would recommend using a hydrating essence afterward before moisturizer❤️

Well they recomend to use it after cleansing. They did not state wet or dry skin but assumed after washing your face, you would pat your face from excess water, use the exfolliant, let it absorb on your face and then move to moisturizer. If you need a number then a few minutes for each steps. The formula should work like how people normally use products. Not to wet and not too dry
