BHA help

Hello everyone i have a question, I wanted to start using bha because of my pores my blackheads but i know it’s a salicylic acid one and im scared to even try because i had a toner with salicylic acid and it didn’t work for me maybe the toner was too harsh for my dry/sensitive skin. What are your thoughts about using bha and is it okay to use just a moisturizer after that? Because i want to keep my routine simple ☺️☺️! I hear wonders about this bha one.

Using BHA is not bad and have some good things from that ingriedient. If you afraid to use how about you try the product which have PHA. Is actually same way how BHA works but PHA is more gentle and not harsh like BHA.

the cosrx one uses betaine salicylate as the BHA instead of salicylic acid, which is gentler so you may find that it works for you without the irritation :)

I would suggest you try a cleanser or a mask instead as you would rinse them off, therefore you would be less likely to get any irritation. I personally do not like most leave on exfoliants.

Hello there, I’m using the Paula’s choice salicylic acid 2% and I never had any problem or irritation with it, it’s a great product even for more sensitive skin types (in general) Otherwise I use the Cosrx AHA BHA clarifying toner because it’s a gentle one; I have some “rescue pads” from Nip + Fab that allow an application more precise; and in case you prefer a wash off, CeraVe and the Inkey List both have great salicylic acid cleansers! I always use a rich moisturizer after and sometimes a sleeping mask to avoid any redness or irritation I hope it helped!
