Azelaic acid is an awesome ingredient - exciting! I personally use my azelaic acid before moisturizer (and sometimes face oil since azelaic acid can be drying), and it works well for me. Just a heads up, though, that it can make your skin tingle a bit while you get used to it - just slowly introduce it a couple days a week and work up, and it should all be good!

I personally always use spot treatment in a last step of night routine, even it can be reducing the effectiveness but it also reduces side effects like irritation due to actives ingredients

I agree with @nattyskin. Ten percent is higher,introduce it slowly into your routine so your skin is not aggravated.Lastly,if your moisturizer is a gel,go with moisturizer first and then the azelaic acid if itโs a cream,you can do azelaic acid first and then moisturizer
