I thought those can damage the skin, bruise you and break capillaries etc. I think it's much safer and effective to use chemical exfoliants.

I see what you meant, the suction on other devices causes bruising yes. I personally have a bad experience with pore vacuums. The one on this device is gentle and hardly turns my translucent skin pink✨💕

One has to be very careful with these microdermabrasion devices. Even though you say that the PMD is gentle, in general physical exfoliation devices can be much more rough on the skin than a chemical exfoliant. It is much safer to go with a light chemical exfoliant rather than jumping into a physical microdermabrasion device. The majority of people who I’ve talk to and who have purchased and used microdermabrasion devices, including the PMD, have regretted its effect on their skin. YMMV

Good evening, yes they should be careful and check out the articles and videos I mentioned first. I haven't had any problems with it. I use the low setting and very sensitive disc. It could be user error. I have many friends that are liscensed estheticians that have their own diamond microderms and one that recently bought a PMD beauty device.
I've looked it up countless times even at AskDerm.com she says it's far more gentle than the ones estheticians use💕

So do I, I do think people are confusing dermaplane with microdermabrasion. These are gentle, the ones done by a dermatologist shoot crystals and are more abrasive 💕
