azelaic acid itchy/stinging

Is it normal for azelaic acid to itch or burn? Does your skin take a while to get used to it? I’ve been dealing with dermatitis and this is something I’ve been trying for the past few days as I heard it can help.

I had the same issue with the ordinarys. Then I applied only to dry skin after moisturizer and it stopped itching!

Yes it can be itchy but shouldn’t last longer than 15min post application. If you find the itch too irritating, I suggest try putting azelaic acid in the last step of skin care routine, after a moisturiser. Sometimes go down in strength might help
