Does Icing your face work and what are the benefits of it?

Icing is a trend that needs to disappear tbh. It does nothing significant, enables redness and irritation, it's a disaster for your skin barrier. Pop a sheet mask or a gel mask in your fridge to get a nice refreshing feeling without getting your skin in trouble๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

The only benefit is reducing swelling, inflammation and waking you up. Nothing else. You risk irritation though.

Hahahhahah i just finished icing my skin.. idk it just a habit which brighten my skin and make it look smooth.. idk about tighten pores cus mine kinda invisible. Icing after skincare make me feel good and fresh. I always use icing method when wearing face mask. However i acknowledge that it wasn't too good for skin for some reason.

I find it helpful to cool my face followed with HA serum for a smooth makeup finish. Did a comparison too cause of my oily skin that's always the cause for cakey makeup look.
